purple striped tee

I did a little refashion the other week and it turned into this little square necked top! It's made from a thrifted tee (I always forget to take a before pic, just imagine a really boxy tee and pretend I did), and I decided to play with the stripes a bit! Taking my cues from this fab tutorial...this tee was created. The knit I was working with was … [Read more...]

bento lunches week 4

We tried out this new oval bento this week and Sadie loved it! (she is all about the pink...and new stuff) Charlotte was helping me arrange it, hehe! On the top tier I rolled up some turkey around cheese sticks and skewered them, then sliced apples and alternated the way they laid...easy but it looks fun! On the bottom a cute bunny egg (using this … [Read more...]

my little pony Applejack costume

Hooray! With only days to spare I finally made Charlotte's Halloween costume. Slacker much? I only say that because I made Sadie's a whole like....2 months ago. I've told you before I don't like making most things twice, right? Anyways...I finally buckled down and love how it turned out...so does Miss C, which is what really matters right?! She … [Read more...]

They sent us the Flying Fairy crate to check out, and suffice it to say, the girls had a blast with it! (I did as well!) It came with three different fairy … [Read more...]

bento lunches round 3

This bento was super simple but went over well with the girls. I cut some turkey and cheddar sandwiches into triangles, and added some Pirate's Booty....always a hit! On the bottom some sliced peaches (chopped up for Charlotte's), and grapes with an elephant pick finished it off. This one strangely only had a few grapes leftover! On the top … [Read more...]

KCWC: coral elephant dress and a wrap up

Here it is...my last project for the Kids Clothes Week Challenge. I had so much fun this go-around, got so many basis etc made for the girls...but I think it wiped me out. A little break from sewing is in order. (but not too long!)So I started making this elephant print dress with the intention that it would be for Sadie. I ended up making a bad … [Read more...]

KCWC: raglan tees

In the interest of stash busting (ya know....because that means I can buy more fabric if I use what I have, right?), I made these two long sleeved raglan tops for the Sadester....seriously they are so fast! The longest part was doing that hedgehog applique. This tee needed a little somethin' so I decided to "put a hedgehog on it". (Adrianna's … [Read more...]

KCWC: the sadie tunic

This girl is having too much fun posing her heart out this week! She's earning tons of squinkies, too, so she's in heaven pretty much. So for this tunic I used Shauna's fantastic Sadie tunic pattern. It was just a matter of time til I sewed up this one...after all it has a great name! ;) The fabric is Josephine Kimberling Just Dandy in Scattered … [Read more...]
