The top is officially done! I finished it today during her nap, hooray! I love it. It's very big though. Like twin size. In my daydreams, this quilt is already quilted and bound. Ah, denial. There is still much to be done, but the top is almost done! I cut it out and sewed most of it last night, until the sleeves stopped me in my tracks. I've never put sleeves on in my life. Luckily, my mom who is an experienced seamstress (who does offer lessons!), is only a mile and a phone call away.
