I know, it's been awhile since the Libby top sew-along, but at least I finally got a round up together, right?uh....It's the thought that counts?I'm full of excuses... Like....the cat ate my mouse (haha) so I couldn't work on the computer.Except I don't have a cat... welp. Moving on. Check out these adorable Libby tops (and dresses!) that YOU … [Read more...]
baby shower gifts
So you saw the shower I co-hosted for my pal Aimee, right? So....I kind of went a little handmade crazy for her present. I couldn't help it! Baby girl stuff is just too much fun to make. My favorite part of her gift was this little quilt I made for baby Penny. It's not pieced, obviously, just two yards of fabric layered with batting and quilted, … [Read more...]
an outfit a day keeps the frumpies away
Do ya like my title? So..the other day I thought I had a cute outfit (don't burst my balloon if I really don't, lol), so I grabbed Sadie to come and document it for me. Yes, my 3 year old took these pictures-not too shabby, eh? I enjoy seeing other blogger's outfits, it's fun to see style inspiration, and also gives me motivation to look put … [Read more...]
KCWC-Sadie’s Abbey jacket
My semi-last minute contribution to KCWC was this Abbey jacket for Sadie. Adorbs, right? I made it with this pattern, which was great! I used charcoal grey fleece from Joanns (hope it doesn't pill too much), and a napkin for the lining. Yes, a napkin. A girl's gotta get fabric wherever she can!I got it in Utah in May, since it was such a cute print … [Read more...]
See Kate Sew pattern giveaway!
****This giveaway is now closed. See the winner below!**** Meet Miss Daisy, our newest softie resident! She likes to eat our house plants and nibble on the girls, but she's no carnivore, so we don't worry about that. ;) I made her with Kate's new Rawr Dino pattern-isn't it adorable? Also, one of the quickest and easiest softies I've … [Read more...]
KCWC-90 minute tops
Soo...I whipped up a couple of 90 minute shirts yesterday for the girls-matching ones-since I had enough fabric. They really like them-either that, or Charlotte is really excited about a tree. (probably the tree)I say "whipped up" like it's no biggie, but really once you do a few of them, they don't take much time! I think both shirts together took … [Read more...]
KCWC-grey and pink
Grey and pink are so adorable together, don't you think? Especially for the littles. I made this quick dress (using my Ice Cream Social dress tutorial) for a baby girl on the way...I hope she and her momma like it. :) I added some loops on either side and a tie-cute huh? I also did the sleeves a little differently-I think I'll also add a … [Read more...]
KCWC-fall basics
Day three of the Kids Clothes Week Challenge-made this little skirt and top outfit-I wanted some fall basics she could mix and match with other pieces. (most of the time her choice is a dress....) I've had this cute heart-patterned knit for awhile so I was muy excited to use it up! I really really REALLY like this skirt! It's a simple paperbag … [Read more...]
KCWC-wee little pink dress
Day two of the KCWC I made this little pink number for a friend's baby girl. The shower is this Saturday, but I'm pretty sure she doesn't check my blog all the time...but if you see this post before then, Aimee, er...act surprised. It's a simple little A-line shift with a button closure (of course), and a big pleated panel in the front. (size 9-12 … [Read more...]
