Silhouettes are so
totally hip nowadays. (confession: I had to google how to spell silhouette....dur.) My Grandma Lance had them first though! lol. So, I've seen this silhouette ornament idea on a few blogs, and wanted to share it cause it's so cool! I made one last night...out of cardboard, but
hey-it works. My mini glue gun is my friend. Except when it burns me. I really like the idea of making these
every year for Sadie and the rest of our future offspring. It's a fun cool way to see how they (are going to) grow! So here's the first one.
Ding! Round one. There's my little baldie!

and the back...with
year and age.
I made these two silhouettes of me and Rory a few months ago, using
this tutorial. Real quick and idiot proof. I didn't even print off the picture, I just traced it off my computer screen.
Is that bad?
Then spray paint your frames if they're an
ugly gold-ish color like mine were. I'm still looking for another oval frame for Sadie, so don't think we forgot about her!

then, wah la!
All done.
Then, stand back and admire your hard work and
uber craftiness.
