so far…

Charlotte hates baths….

…looks cute in headbands…

(look for a tutorial soon!)

…and she has this girl totally confused.

Poor thing. The Sadester just doesn’t understand why mommy can’t dote on her anymore! I can only partially dote on her these days. But really. We’ve been doing pretty good lately…it helps that Charlotte sleeps. A LOT. just not so much at night. Well, in long stretches at least. So momma has some pretty dark circles under her eyes most days. But I’m making it through. With the help of Nemo, Cinderella, and Aladdin. (Thanks, guys. I don’t know what I’d do without you)

We’ve been homebodies though…usually I liked to get out a lot with Sadie…but it’s SO much harder with two kids! Just the logistics of fitting into a shopping cart make me go EESHK! (yes, eeshk) We did go to Target last week, but I think I left with a few gray hairs.

It’s going so much faster this time around! Charlotte will already be a month old come this Saturday…yikes! She’s a good baby, as long as she’s fed and gas-free. (isn’t anyone happy with those conditions?) Sadie does seem to like her, she likes to lay down next to her and stare…so cute. We’ve only had one head bopping incident, and that was accidental. ( I think)

Anyways…we’re doing good so far with two kiddos. Although Charlotte has rolled over twice from her front to back, so I’m hoping that doesn’t mean she’ll be an early mover. Hopefully it was a freak accident. We’ll see….

  1. She’s so beautiful, Jessica! I can’t believe she’s almost a month old already! I’m happy to hear that you guys are adjusting well. Take care!

  2. Ha, ha, ha. We made it through those first months with a little help from our friends Woody and Buzz. I have my own thoughts about TV, but man, nothing like it in the world to distract a toddler while mommy and baby take a little on-the-fly nap on the couch.

I’m so glad that things are going well for you guys! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. YOu have been blessed with 2 truely gorgeous girls. It is hard going from 1 to 2. Lots of new multitasking skills to be learnt! But you seem to be coping brillantly. x.

  5. She is ADOREABLE! It’s nice when you get used to having two when you go shopping! It’s definately hard! I remember thinking, “how is this ever going to go smoothly?” Well, it doesn’t, but it get’s considerably better! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  6. Oh yes I can remember the first time I gave my daughter a bath. She hated it and I turned to my husband and said “there is no way I can do this to her everyday!” Thank goodness it got easier because I didn’t want a sticky kid! I can’t wait for the handband tutorial!

  7. Do you happen to have a moby wrap or anything like it? (I recommend the moby wrap for it’s comfort and versatility.) It definitely helps with the shopping cart logistics. Just wrap it on yourself before getting in the car. Then, when you get to Target, leave the baby bucket in the car, plop the baby in the moby wrap, and plop Sadie into the shopping cart.

It makes life much easier. She’s a beautiful little baby, by the way!
