So…..the other day, I decided that Ava needed a new dress-basically I just NEEDED to sew something quick and cute and easy. Another Geranium dress goll darn fit the bill. It’s my sixth version of the pattern…yipes. That means it’s a good one. The classic silhouette and those adorable cap sleeves get me every time. Plus the fit is fantastic! Every time I make Ava one (this is her third…) it fits her perfectly. This time it was the 6-12 mo size…she was barely squeezing into her 3-6 mo Easter dress anymore (she’s our chubby baby and I LOVE it.)
I made it with this gorgeous Joel Dewberry fabric from his Modern Meadow line-from LilyBella Fabrics.
I paired it with a dusty blue sash that came off of an old pair of shorts of mine…I never wore it with the shorts but saved it. I think somehow my subconscious KNEW that I would need it to pair perfectly with this mustard yellow fabric. Meant to be.
She loves it. Totes. You can tell by the squealing face and heels about to kick up. Cause she TOTALLY cares about what she wears….
Anyways, I love it.
One more down for Kids Clothes Week!
