I just cannot stop myself. I am in deep with coral and yellow (add some mint or teal and it's all over). I thrifted a big yellow and white striped shirt to refashion for one of the girls, and Sadie needs shirts more than Charlotte right now, so she got it. (you should see C's drawers, they barely close!) She's been growing into all of Sadie's old … [Read more...]
little striped top
I had the hankering for a quick sewing project the other day so I pulled out some knits and made this little top for Sadie. I'm thinking that I should sew for Charlotte more, though...Sadie is such a stinker when it comes to photo shoots nowadays! Although once she gets down to business she always pulls through. (she usually needs the promise of a … [Read more...]
I’m a Sewlebrity?
I'm so honored and excited to be a part of Rachel's Sewlebrity series over on Family Ever After! I sewed up this color block tee for the Sadester, who almost immediately smeared pink sidewalk chalk dust on the white part. At least I got pics, right? That's what counts in bloggy land. ;) Hop over to her blog to check out the tutorial! Go leave some … [Read more...]

I'm up to my eyeballs in party prep for Miss C's cowgirl party this weekend-cannot wait for this party to come together!Oh boy-this is such a tardy post! I made this for Kids Clothes Week back in April! Somehow forgot to post it, so here it is! the Olivia top
Tutorial time! Muwahahaaaa! See the tutorial below! You'll need: 3/4-1 yard of fabric thread buttons 1/4" elastic First I created a simple bodice pattern by tracing a tee folded in half. Then I drew a line across right above the bottom of the armhole. Make sure to add notes to add seam allowance to the top of the shirt panel and … [Read more...]
KCWC-little tie top
So I made this #fast and #easy (Can I tell you a secret? I may or may not know what the whole hashtag thing is all about....heavy on the may not) little top for Sadie from a thrifted tee. I love using those-it's already hemmed so it makes it so fast to refashion into a new top. I added a little tie at the collar-it turned out pretty cute I think! … [Read more...]

the Elinor top tutorial
Since we read Sense and Sensibility this month for book club, I decided to name this simple little top after one of the characters. The curved ruffle makes a really interesting shape, which I love. Here's how I made it! See below for the tutorial! You'll need: a tee to trace fabric (I used a yard for size 3T) matching thread hook and … [Read more...]
the Evelyn top-a tutorial
I made this top the other day for Sadie...and it ended up fitting Charlotte! lol. Most of the time it's the other way around. (I tend to make things bigger than they need to be, I am constantly and irrationally scared that things will be too small when making stuff for C)I named it after my newest baby niece, Evelyn. She is adorable, and a sweetie … [Read more...]
