KCWC: teal bow leggings

I whipped up another pair of leggings using a thrifted sweater for the baby...and they ended up fitting Charlotte. haha....I have sizing issues sometimes, can you tell? Nobody's perfect. Anyways...I added some quick little bows at the ankles for a touch of cuteness. I love adding little details like that...I just have to remember to do it. ;) I … [Read more...]

KCWC: baby circle skirts

More KCWC clothes!! (I've got more coming, too...I may (a teensy bit) be going through my nesting phase....)I also whipped up some teeny tiny baby circle skirts yesterday....These took hardly any time at all. The only thing that slowed me down was a power outage. In the middle of hemming. In the afternoon. ??? Whatevs at least it only lasted an … [Read more...]

KCWC: grey polka dot top

I really love how this top turned out! So hipster-ish. I made it with some of this huge bolt of grey fabric that I got a long time ago, and was glad to use some of it up. I used fabric paint for the dots and one of those foam dot brushes...just eyeballed the distances between dots. Added some bands around the sleeves and bottom to keep it fitted, … [Read more...]

KCWC: little vintage dress

This bodice design has been on my mind for like...ever. (and a day) So finally I gave it a go! I love how it turned out, and now I want to make another for Sadie with striped fabric, how fun, right? I may (emphasis on the may) even attempt this as a pattern to sell. Hold the phone, folks. We'll see how I feel after this next little one makes her … [Read more...]

KCWC: leggings and raglan top

I actually started a little early on KCWC-on Saturday a good friend came over to learn how to make leggings for her little girl, and after we made a pair with this heart fabric I had to make some of my own with the leftover fabric.  (once you've made a few they don't take much time at all...or assembly line them out! p.s. thanks Greta for the … [Read more...]

KCWC-lime green trees

I'm up to my eyeballs in party prep for Miss C's cowgirl party this weekend-cannot wait for this party to come together!Oh boy-this is such a tardy post! I made this for Kids Clothes Week back in April! Somehow forgot to post it, so here it is! Made this just like the other top, and the skirt is just a half yard of fabric with a simple elastic … [Read more...]

KCWC-little tie top

So I made this #fast and #easy (Can I tell you a secret? I may or may not know what the whole hashtag thing is all about....heavy on the may not) little top for Sadie from a thrifted tee. I love using those-it's already hemmed so it makes it so fast to refashion into a new top. I added a little tie at the collar-it turned out pretty cute I think! … [Read more...]

KCWC-pretty peasant top

Once I had it arranged I tacked it down through the casing in the back so it wouldn't slip out.tada! (love this fabric!) No pictures of … [Read more...]

***This giveaway is now closed!*** You may have seen Anna's (twice!) and Vanessa's versions of  Figgy's Ayashe blouse-once I saw them I HAD to get my hands on my own copy! I haven't had a chance to make the skirt yet, but I got a blouse made the other day-and I am in love! It's such a simple top but with quite a few ways to change it up. I love … [Read more...]

KCWC-Sadie’s Abbey jacket

My semi-last minute contribution to KCWC was this Abbey jacket for Sadie. Adorbs, right? I made it with this pattern, which was great! I used charcoal grey fleece from Joanns (hope it doesn't pill too much), and a napkin for the lining. Yes, a napkin. A girl's gotta get fabric wherever she can!I got it in Utah in May, since it was such a cute print … [Read more...]
