I’ll be traveling a few times this year so I figured it was time to make a travel jewelry clutch. I’ve made one before (as a gift), but I wanted one that was smaller and had something for stud earrings…I scrolled through Pinterest and found this tutorial, which I loved all the aspects of, so it was my winner!
I used my fave striped fabric and this gorgeous floral. (which I have also been sewing something for myself with! coming soon….)
the stud earring and ring thingies are FANtastic…perfect for what I needed.
Instead of the ribbon the tutorial calls for, I sewed a band of glittered elastic onto the outside of the case, and it keeps it closed in style! 😉
I used my gold bias tape because GOLD. there are three awesome little pockets up top for necklaces…
…and a little velcro pocket at the bottom for larger pieces.
I can’t wait to use it for SNAP later in the month!
Charlotte wanted to stick her head in the shot, lol!
Oh my gosh. I wish you sold these!!
Love the fabrics! I really should bite the bullet and make one. Where did you get those adorable bow studs?!
Forever 21 I think?
oh it’s super cute!!! and so functional. I might need to whip one up and get my bias tape fix!!!!
I love this!! The fabric choices are perfect too:)
xo
Man, Jess, you have the best eye for coordinating fabrics. I would never think to put these fabrics together but everything you make looks so cute and coordinated and visually appealing and interesting and…I’ll stop now. You’ve got a great eye for what looks good together! Wish I could steal some of your fabric picking talent. 🙂
aw thanks! I appreciate it!:D
uhhh. LOVE this! Your fabric choices are so perfect too!
Thank you for sharing this! Would you be kind enough to explain where/how you attached the elastic? Working on one right now, and I love your elastic idea.
I added it to the center of the outside large striped piece, just with a little rectangle of stitching where the elastic ends were joined. 🙂
OMG! Really cute! 😉
Thank you for this! I loved the idea and printed the pattern but when I did, everything was smaller than in reality (I mean the 1″square in the pdf was smaller than 1″so I did not know how to go on. Do you by any chance have the measurements of the different pieces? There is no way to ask these questions in the tutorial page…thanks!
I don’t, sorry. It’s not my pattern and I made it so long ago I don’t have the pieces anymore.
