bento lunches week 6

fun bento lunch ideas at craftiness is not optional

Do you remember when I did bentos for awhile? (I don’t do them as often, basically only when we go to the park or playdate…come kindergarten in August though…..) Well, this is a post I had prepared and then lost to the netherworlds of my drafted post page…haha! ANywho, I thought I’d put it up anyways since it’s fun, and I have lots of stuff to post about but can’t yet and bentos are cute and I heart run on sentences.

This one was slightly farm themed…the girls love these more involved bentos (it depends on my day whether or not I do, lol), and Sadie especially loves when I spell things out since she’s a spelling maniac lately! I used some cookie cutters and food coloring to do the little pig and cow up top, then used my CuteZCute cutter for the pig sandwich (with fruit leather accents), then added some pirate’s booty and cut up kiwi and grapes.

Sadie loves making these ladybug cheeses! This one also has some ham and cheese tortilla roll ups, plums, and veggies and ranch dip. (which of course were neglected! Miss C will eat the carrots at least)

I’m getting addicted to these Lock & Lock boxes! I love that I can throw them in the dishwasher and they come out looking great. This one had some cut grapes, a cutie with a fun leaf pick, cut up cheese stick, and PB& honey sandwich diced and skewered. The girls love eating sandwiches like this!

Their second favorite is in tiny triangles ๐Ÿ™‚ This one’s pretty similar, just with kiwi instead. It’s kind of my go-to bento these days!

  2. I love the Moo and Oink so cute. I can’t wait for Hayley to start school so I can start doing Bento a little more often.

  3. I have used the Lock & Lock boxes for 2 years now, sending them to school with my daughter daily, they have held up great and I just ordered more to send them with my youngest who is going to Kindergarten in the fall. I have had quite a few teachers comment that they always have to come by and see what my daughter has for lunch because they love the boxes and how everything fits inside.

I definitely think my daughter eats more of her lunch when it is cut creatively to fit inside the box than if sent whole, even if mine are not as pretty as yours!

  4. I’ve wanted to try these for so long! The photos are adorable!
