I've got another pattern review for ya! I love them...more in the queue to come soon. ;) This one is a pattern from Whimsy Couture-they have tons of adorable patterns, including lots of ruffly goodness for little girls! If you don't have any girls, they have a few boy patterns, and even some for pets! I chose to review the Vintage Ruffled Neckline top/dress. Mostly because I've been dying to figure out this kind of neckline but hadn't gotten around to it. Hey-when someone else does the work for ya, I'm all about using that!
So. The pattern was easy enough to cut out, basically rectangles and strips! The pattern came in separate PDF's which I thought was a little odd, and the directions for the sizes of the pieces of fabric could have been a little more clear. I also couldn't figure out which way to lay out the fabric when I cut the armholes out so I guessed. Obviously I cut out the fabric upside down too, lol! Nice, Jess. OH well. I finished the armholes with some bias tape since that's how I usually roll. Other than that it was very easy to make-about 1.5 hours or so.
Of course Miss C's baby had to make an appearance. At least this one's clothed. And for those of you wondering, our babies have quite an extensive wardrobe, lol. The girls just don't seem to care about their nekkedness most of the time!
