little red chair

I just love quick projects with a big impact. Like this little red chair. I told you about how I got it for 50 cents, right? STEAL! I have  been on the lookout for a chair just like this for months, too. Love thrifting karma.

So, take a 50 cent chair, add some red spray paint I already had (but was about $5 probably), and you get one cute looking chair for not much moola! I had thought about sanding the edges, but I figure Sadie will be adding her own dents and dings soon enough.

She's already broken it in with a "reading" session. (totally posed, by her! lol) Love the crossed leg.

I think it's a winner!

Fantastic!! We have the big versions of these as dining chairs. WOOT! The owl pillow is also great!

Your chair is so cute -- especially with the owl on it. :)

Love the chair... is there a DIY tutorial on the owl? I'll have to search the blog :)

Everything is more adorable in the little version! I love small chairs, and have to refrain from buying the tiny Parsons at Ross every time I am there. :)

Red was an excellent choice!

That's the Gingercake owl, non?
The red chair is totally cute. Have you considered a little simple stenciling on the back? A little bit of personalization could turn it into an heirloom (or perhaps a "chairloom").

You capture the best expressions! Looks like Sadie is pleased with your thrifting find too.
I can't wait to have space for refinishing furniture... at the moment we don't have a good workspace at all.

For those who are wondering, the owl softie was one I made a long time ago, with a pattern I made, there are lots of owl pillow patterns out there now!
