I made this dress months ago, but somehow never took any pictures of it. I found some cute printed tees at my thrift store, so I cut off the bottom of a white tee, cut strips of the tee shirts, gathered them if needed, and sewed them into a quick dress. I used the existing hem of a tee for the bottom so it was a really easy refashion! Comfy and cool for summer too.
Check out how long Sadie’s hair is getting! I keep debating on whether it needs a trim or not. Sometimes it gets a bit scraggly.
Anyway, just a quick and easy dress/refashion. Enjoy!
The dress is so cute love it so much!!! ^__^
Thank you for the information. Great job you have done and keep it up.
stumbled upon your blog today and this idea is genius – off to find some t-shirts to hack up ๐

That is such a good idea, and so cute!
Very cute! I should do something like this for my daughter – she needs clothes this summer which is a first. She’s always had enough hand-me-downs and gifts that I really don’t *need* to sew for her. Now that it’s a need it’s somehow more fun to sew for her. ๐
This is so cute. I’ve made a dress like this for my daughter & it’s one of my favorites. I love the colors and mix of prints.
Adorable! Thanks for the idea! I will have to keep my eyes open for cute patterned Ts!
I love the combination of prints. I can’t believe you were able to get such a great combination at a thrift shop! I made one of these for each of my daughters a few months back (with tank tops on top), and they love them. As for Sadie’s hair… my 4 year old has never ever had a haircut. I say leave it for now ๐
Cute dress! Love the different patterns in the fabrics!
i can’t believe you were able to find three cute coordinating shirts! well done.
i feel the same way about Sutton’s hair. It has gotten very long and stringy. I have cut is short before and it is SO cute but makes it impossible to braid or pull back.
This dress turned out adorable! What a great find and creation. I will have to start scouring the thrift stores now!!
Adorable. I am impressed you found so many cute tshirts that coordinated!
Very cute!
Oooh love how those shirts came together! Love Sadie’s longer hair. ๐
I’ve gotta know… did you use a serger or a sewing machine???? I Love the dress and want to make one stat!
Girl, your daughter is ending up all over my Pinterest “I Want to Make This Page.” Not that I want to make your daughter – just the stuff she wears! ๐
I love this!! Turned out great! I’m actually about to make some of these for my 9 year old!
Beautiful colours! What a wonderful idea, and what wonderful prints you found!!!
Cute cute cute! She’s such a great model. I love her hair – doesn’t look too stingy to me!
How adorable ๐ It looks so comfortable too! I love it!
Very cool, love the combination of colours and patterns
Love these designs!
The dress sure looks fabulous on her!

This dress is adorable! Wish I had a little girl to sew for.
Those prints & colors coordinate so well, together they make a lovely summer dress! You have great taste!
