felt ornaments

I went a little crazy making some fun felt ornaments this year.

I used this free pattern and tutorial-and they were so fun to embellish! Besides the smelly fabric glue headache, of course.

I used a wool felt blend-I get mine here. I added some cool trims and such I had lying around. In hindsight, I probably should have stuffed them a bit more…but that’s why you have hindsight…for next time. right?

Anyways…if you make them, now you’ll know…stuff them more than I did!

I packaged them up in some clear treat bags, cut out some quick tags on my new Silhouette, and tied them on with some candy cane-esque ribbon! (leftover from our stockings)

Ready to gift out to neighbors and friends! (though I think I’ll keep a couple for us!)

  1. These are beautiful, Jess! I love all of the trims. Great colors, too. My local JoAnns just started selling wool blend felt, but the colors are pretty bland. I need to order some of the good stuff:)

  2. those are too cute! i seriously wish i had the time to make a tree’s worth – much more child friendly than glass ornaments!

  3. Those are super cute! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Love the colors you chose. The aqua just makes them pop. Well done…again!

  5. I just LOVE these! What a great idea to give them to friends and neighbors. I really like the colors you choose as well. If only I had more time I’d make millions of these!

  6. Beautiful! I actually think I like them just a touch stuffed, rather than more full. If I ever have the time to do all of the stuff I WANT to accomplish – it’ll be heavenly. Of course, all the little ones will be grown then (small sniff) – never mind, I think it’s ok to not have the time for now.

  7. oh Jess! these are SO cute!!

  8. I love these!!! I wish I were your neighbor ๐Ÿ™‚ Did it take forever to do all the cute details??

I just finished making your Christmas card wreath and I love, love, love it!! I’m going to blog about it next week and I thought about doing a whole series of things Jess makes that I love, and want to add these, but gosh, my Christmas craft time is running out ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. I love the colors you used on these! Your felt crafting has also worn off on me as I am throwing together some felt play food at the last minute for my daughters for Christmas!
