elephant skirt for em

So Kristin’s daughter Em, and Sadie, have become pen pals over the past few months, and they are the CUTEST. They color each other elaborate pictures, cover their envelopes with stickers, and they would “text” each other for hours if we let them (emoticons, mostly. those are some straaange convos….lol), they love to skype and facetime in order to show each other their favorite toys, etc…two little peas in a pod. So when Sadie heard that Em’s birthday was coming up, she begged me to help her make something for her. Twist my arm, right?

ย
Em loves elephants, so Sadie directed me to carve a stamp (after she approved the design of course) and then she helped with the actual stamping! She loved that. “Mom-this one goes here. NO over a little bit. Yess. *claps hands* Em will love this Mom!” Cutest thing ever. She picked out the fabric colors, too…I suggested adding the raspberry color to the bottom for some contrast. She was down with that, thank goodness. Word on the street is she loved it! Happy (late) birthday Em!
