new pillow covers (and a cute face)

You saw my other attempt at bringing color into my living room…here is phase 2 of the pillow cover take-over.

Rory’s reaction (and I quote) “That’s a big flower.”

My Dad’s reaction (also quoting verbatim) “That’s a big flower.”

Agh. Men. They just don’t understand how cute giant flowers can be! Am I right, ladies? (of course I am)

I have had this tutorial bookmarked for ages, so I finally made one! Although I used my invisible zipper pillow tutorial, not an envelope back.
I used my Go Baby to cut out the felt circles for the petals. (I am falling in love with that thing more and more these days! especially the circle die.)ย
I also made a cover with the leftover fabric from this bag, and added a quick bow-type-thingie on the front. Easy peasy and cute.ย
I also had to throw this picture in, because I know C’s enormous cheeks are a hoot. Love this cute face!

  1. “That’s a beautiful flower!” From a girl who knows what she is talking about! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Lovely little face – agreed! But what about that dimple!

  5. I think I might have to make one too. I love all your Go baby inspiration.
p.s. Usually when my husband questions something, I know it’s probably perfect. “What, you don’t like this, why thank you.”

  6. That made me laugh…because I know the first words out of my husband’s mouth would have been “that’s a big flower.” Gotta love our guys! I think the pillows are fab! And Charlotte and her cheekies are just too cute!

  7. Um yes, you are right. It is GREAT! I love it!

  8. I’ve had that tutorial pinned for a long time too but there’s no way I’m cutting out all of those circles. Plus I’m sure my husband would say the exact same thing. ha. I think it looks great though! Good job with the zipper too. Kiss those cheeks for me! (unless it’s awkward pretending the kisses are from me. ha. I never know what to say to that when someone tells me so maybe I won’t say that anymore. . . .)

  9. I love that flower!!!! It is definitely a statement piece. I may have to try the tutorial sometime.

  10. both pillows are really cute, but C’s cheeks are to die for! ๐Ÿ™‚

  13. Charlotte is getting so big and grown up!

Also, the pillows are awesome. Don’t let the men thwart your happiness. ๐Ÿ™‚ If only you could come to our Brown Bag nights you could show them off and all the ladies would ooh and ahh over them appropriately.
