Outfit #2! I’m loving this one…these shorts are my favorite part. I have plans to make a few more pairs! I used the Bubble Pocket Shorts pattern and it was a great pattern! I sewed up the 3/4T size, & they should definitely fit her at least a year, yay! It was easy to sew up (about 1.5 hours for me, and that was while being semi-distracted by Vampire Diaries), they fit and look great on her, and perfect for the warm weather we’re already getting here in Cali! I used some burnt coral shot cotton, which I got on my trip to Berkeley with Stef. It’s so pretty…though the color is freaking hard to photograph. Gersh. It’s less orange than it looks here.
EDIT: I’m kind of an idiot and didn’t read through the waistband portion of the pattern well enough I guess….(I’ll blame Damon)….I just started doing it the way I’m used to, so mine look different then they are supposed to. oops! I’ve got another pair to show ya (done correctly) soon. :}
Sadie goofing off…whatever gets her through a shoot, right?
The pockets are of course, the defining feature of these cute shorts-and they are plenty big and bubbly!
The polka dot tee is self drafted, with some flutter sleeves and an added pocket. I actually did hem up the bottom nicely, just tucked it in here to show off the shorts. Aha you can see it below! Proof! I got the fabric from Girl Charlee, looks like they don’t have it anymore, but I get most of my knits there, they have a great selection and the quality is fantastic.
