First off, Happy Fourth of July to my American readers! We are having a blast so far at our first of two BBQ’s. I let myself off easy this year and bought most of the goodies I’m bringing…and man it feels good! 😉
So anyways! I have a fun shop to introduce you to today, if you don’t know about it already! Have you guys heard of Modes4u? My goodness! I could have spent forever and a day browsing their online store. (I may have…and I’m not ashamed to admit it…) They have some of the cutest fabric out there-lots of Echino and Kokka fabrics, which, hello-are so gorgeous and colorful! Not to mention all kinds of other cute items like Bento Boxes (which I totally want to get Sadie some for when she starts kindergarten next year (AHH), buttons, stationery, etc! Which includes washi tape-love that stuff. I just may do all of Sadie’s school supply shopping here. lol!
They let me pick out 5 fat quarters to review, and man I had a hard time! After agonizing over the decision, I finally realized it was dumb to agonize this much over fabric and just picked out whatever popped out at me! I am so happy with my choices too…I love every single piece.
Starting at the top left, Echino birds and stripes, Echino glasses fabric, Kokka cars (what? why can’t girls have car fabric?), Kokka strawberries, (this I got for my friend’s Strawberry Shortcake party she’s planning), and Echino colorful flowers. Sheesh aren’t the colors gorgeous? I can’t say enough about the quality-they have a nice hand, even the canvases. Since these fabrics are wider, the fat quarters were generous-about 20″x30″.
Look how cute it’s is, all packaged up! Isn’t that kitty bag it’s carefully wrapped in adorable? The shipping was very quick, even coming from Hong Kong. (it took about a week)
First up on the project list: a sunglasses case using this fabric…it’s a match made in heaven, eh? Then maybe a library bag for the girls using the Echino canvas. Sturdy and cute…great combo! 😉
