Violette Field Threads pattern review and giveaway

I just adore how this skirt turned out. So does Sadie, luckily. (she'll wear anything for some candy though...did I tell you I ran out of Pez the other day? and by other day I mean month. We're running on white chocolate chips. Nasty things, but Sadie likes em.) The little button-on apron is adorable. It's reversible too, but I didn't like the other side as much so I forgot to snap a photo or two of it.
Sad day. It's red.

Anyways!  on to the good stuff. I used my fabulous sponsor Violette Field Thread's Hazel Reversible Apron skirt pattern for this one. Ericka and Jessica run the shop together and have some really fun and original patterns.

The main floral fabric is Simply Sweet by Henry Glass, from my sponsor Fairy Tale Frocks and Lollipops. (though I bought it as a remnant so it doesn't look like she has any right now) The (green) top of the apron is fabric from the MoMo by Moda line-It's a Hoot, and the blue fabric is Kate Spain-Central Park. The ric rac I used for the flower is from my awesome sponsor Ribbon Retreat.

So-I loved how fast this project came together! It was well written and easy to follow.  It took some time (I won't say how much lol) to put together the pattern....but after it's together-tada! You have a great skirt pattern. I had a disagreement with my button hole maker so...they're a little raggedy this time around...but that's my machine's fault. It decided to throw a hissy fit. It was all I could do to calm her down enough to finish the (slightly raggedy) buttonholes.

I had to add this little ric rac flower to dress up the apron! Love it. :) and swoon! that fabric.

It's cute even without the apron! So...on to the giveaway part!
