I’ve been busy making some gifts for my sister in law and brother! Aren’t they adorable? (the people, not the presents, though they are cute)
Aaaand…..they’re having a baby girl in October! So you know I was busy picking out fabric a minute after finding out the news. Seriously. After my frolicking and happy dancing.
First things first, a couple of wee dresses! I made this one using my pretty easy sundress tutorial.
(I also updated it, you’ll notice)
It only took a half yard for a 6-9 month size!
Cute heart button in back.
I also whipped out an itty bitty baby dress for her as well. These are so fast! (also, side note: this was also my first article of clothing I ever sewed for Sadie!)
Made with Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday-from my sponsor Fabric Closet, and the tie is made with Heather Bailey Bijoux Mod Beads in Rose-from Tuft Love!
Same fabrics as Sadie’s peasant top. They’re so cute together!
and of course I had to make her a Bapron! My new favorite baby gift! Aren’t those butterflies precious? The fabric is from my awesome sponsor Ribbon Retreat, and it’s called Flutter-in pink.
And I had to make a cute Bapron for her sister Courtenay-she has the most darling son, and is super crafty and creative! She just started a new blog, which is fabulous, you should go check it out! It’s called Days Like This. She makes the cutest clothes for her son! and stuff for her new house…and for herself…
Oh, and the fabric is Michael Miller Toot Toot Cars.
I love sewing for gifts! and family.
I’m still in Utah visiting my sis, and we spent yesterday shopping at some really fun fabric stores, tour courtesy of Courtenay and Stephanie! I got quite a lot of cute prints and can’t wait to get home and start sewing!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!
