Chrysathemum top

Or, Dahlia top...or whatever those big flowers are called. I'm no gardener! I can barely keep our house plants alive. Anywho...I made this cute top after having it saved to my flickr favorites since forEVER. I basically copied this adorable top, only added some little puffy cap sleeves.

This little miss is turning into quite the model. She works for cheap too, this session only cost me 4 Pez candies. What a steal.

I love the large pockets-and so does Sadie.  I'm thinking more of her spring/summer wardrobe will need some! This is I guess the start of that.

I used a vintage button for the closure in back. The little bit of bling is fun!

See? Total model face. lol!

I'm not sure what line/brand the fabric is from, the lovely Anna sent it over for my b-day last year. She's such a sweetheart.

Post Edit: Thanks to reader Sara-I know that the fabric is Andrea Victoria by My Mind's Eye for Riley Blake! Thanks Sara! Though sadly, I can't seem to find it anywhere online. Darn!

Another Post Edit: Thanks to my pal Emilie-who found the fabric available at a number of different stores if you search "RILEY BLAKE ANDREA VICTORIA" on Google. In mustard and purple only.

After the last shoot, she had to add some jumping in! Blurry but still cute.

Tutorial in the works!

How sweet!
I've been visiting your blog from about a year. I like your project very much. I'm looking for a dress for a girl with a protruding belly. Maybe you would come up with an idea?

I love this shirt!!! So very cute!!! Ohhh...I want one!!!

I have to say I envy you having two little girls to sew for. My little girl is 24, and no longer cares for Mom's creative endeavors. And my boys have NO appreciation for cute little dresses (thankfully)! While I await the day when I have granddaughters, I'll continue to sew vicariously through your blog.

I seriously LOVE this top. Any chance you want to do a tutorial? :) Is the fabric knit? I assumed not, since you didn't mention it, but it sure seems to hang like a knit.

Looooove the top... and the model is pretty stinkin' cute, too! :)

That fabric is some of my all-time favorite: It's called Andrea Victoria by My Mind's Eye for Riley Blake. I only bought a couple yards when it was available (I think last summer) and am kicking myself for not grabbing more.
