old to new!

take an old dresser found on craigslist...add a can of primer and green paint, a few hours, and you get this:

no, not sadie.

but, don't mind the toddler already trying to ruin my paint job with her toy car.
(btw, the green is a lot nicer in real life. trust me)

obviously... i couldn't wait for rory to get home later to move the dresser in from the garage. luckily, it's not very heavy and slid on the floor easily. (don't hyperventilate, rory, i put napkins under the legs so it wouldn't scratch the floor)

of course, it's not finished yet! I ordered these knobs from anthropologie...

...and i can't wait to see how they look with the green!

sadie's quilt top is coming along too. i finished the baby's top yesterday, but haven't gotten a picture yet. maybe tomorrow!

So cute! I love furniture from that era, so much potential to be made over...

I was going to go on Craigslist and grab some green paint from the garage right away if I could have a Sadie girl like you;)

I love, love, love this and have been wanting to do this--but haven't found the piece to make over yet. This is my inspiration. Thanks for sharing!

Love the dresser! The lines are soooo, well, retro! I have some furniture to refurbish but need warmer weather.
