i just got back a few hours ago from a women’s retreat for our ward…it was soo much fun! we drove up to a cabin about 4 hours away, and after a quick moth execution in the car on the windy road up, we got there safe and sound.
there were about 20-25 (?) women there, including my grandma, mom, and sis in law steph, plus many good friends. we played some fun games like two truths and a lie*, couch, signs, and mafia. we were up until the wee hours of the morning…like 3 or 4. agh! i haven’t stayed up that late in years!
just kidding. it was blown up. it was actually a beautiful night, we both saw shooting stars and heard coyotes and donkeys down in the valley. also got some raindrops. not too many.
then this morning we got to work sewing these school bags for the humanitarian aid project. what fun talking to all these wonderful women with soo much sewing experience! i felt like a newborn sewer compared to them!
after lunch steph and i went DUNE BUGGYING! (spelling?) it was a blast! besides the dust, flung pebbles, and branches in the face, we had a swell time. no really. rory i want one. the cabin, dune buggy, deck. one of everything. lol.
*wanna guess my two truths and a lie? ok here goes.
1. i’ve set off a bottle rocket in the middle of the night on our street with my brother.
2. i’ve spit off the top of the eiffel tower.
3. i did gymnastics for 10 years.
so, which is the lie? happy guessing!!
