currently….or happenings of late.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen some of these pics already. If you don’t…what the heck are you waiting for? ๐Ÿ˜€ My username is: craftinessisnotoptional.ย
ย So I’ve been trying to finish up the girls room…a new dresser (from Ikea, painted by me) and a new rug (from Urban Outfitters) helps brighten up the room! Now if I could only get Charlotte’s quilt finished!ย  The top is ready, have a back and batting…just need to find somewhere to quilt it for me, as I am not wrestling with that sucker on my sewing machine.

Met these lovely ladies for some fabric shopping in Berkeley a few weeks ago! Kate (and her little Lena!) Stef, and Cherie, who I hadn’t met before. All such sweeties! We had a blast perusing the moichandise (name that movie) and talking shop. I always love hanging out with other bloggers!ย

Ava was a little perturbed that Lena was sharing her stroller for this pic, apparently. hehe! I got to hold Lena for a little while at lunch, man she is a cutie pie!

Here’s the goodies I grabbed! I can’t wait to sew with them!

I just love when my girls choose to wear mama-made. It warms the cockles of my heart. What is a cockle? Never mind I don’t wanna know.

This little miss sassy pants turns three today! Here she is, passed out on the chair after an exhausting day of stepping on her sister’s head and getting put on time out.

We got to take a trip down to the Monterey Bay Aquarium with Rory’s family and see all the fun stuff there! The girls always love it. I found out we were there the same day as Sasha Romeo, from Piccoli Piselli, but we missed each other! Darn!

Man. This kid. She’s a trooper. Never fusses and always has a grin for you. Love her soo much.

We also got to hit up the beach and it wasn’t too freezing. (as most NorCal beaches tend to be) The girls always build intense sand villages, this time with amphitheaters, shoe factories, and a football stadium. Sahweet.

Also! woohoo! I was featured in Sew Mag-a sewing magazine in the UK-just clicking over to their site is so inspiring! I am so honored. ๐Ÿ˜€ It’s in the July issue of Sew which is on sale in the UK starting Friday June 14th. UK readers, go get your copy! And the rest of you, if you want to subscribe, just contact them for more info!

So that’s a little bit of what we’ve been up to lately! I’ve got some more fun stuff in the works and a great giveaway planned for Friday!ย

  2. Where in Nor Cal are you? I’m always pleasantly surprised when a favorite blogger is closer than I think. We just moved to the SF peninsula, and I’ve been wanting to make my way down to Monterey Bay…

  3. A cockle is a sea thing, a small edible clam. You can buy them here in the local market or supermarket, cockles and mussels. Only in the UK, right? ๐Ÿ˜›
