The last thing I sewed up from the Sew Fab pattern bundle was the fabulous Sally dress pattern-created by Shannon from Luvinthemommyhood!ย I gotta say, I LOVE how this turned out. I wasn’t sure about the fabric, but it was what I had on hand that I had enough of, so I went with it. I think it totally fits Miss C’s vivacious personality! (for the record, she loves it too…and I think this is the first dress I’ve made her since, like…Easter earlier this year? poor middle child) Anyways. The fabric I used is Erin Mc Morris Lollies in Peach, from my sponsor, Imagine Fabric.
Today’s the last day to get your hands on the Sew Fab bundle of 26 patterns for only $29! Including my Junebug dress and tunic pattern, plus all the patterns pictured below! The sale ends tomorrow morning at 8 am EST. (this post contains affiliate links)

Back to the dress: I loove how well it fits, even with no closures of any kind! I think the cute little points on the shoulders help with that..and add a cute design feature! I sewed up a 3T for C and it fit her really well, with some room to grow.
I chose the longer sleeve length…though I love it i totally want to try the short sleeves come spring! Or really…anytime. I mean, hello. I live in Cali. It doesn’t get THAT cold here in the winter. Nothing a cardi can’t fix.
The pockets are another fun part of the design-nice and roomy, with plenty of space for extra toys or cookies.
I lined the pockets and bodice with some yummy lavender voile that Kristin sent me awhile back. I’ve used it on a few things, actually! Guess it’s my go-to accent fabric!
So the pattern is really well explained, with awesome illustrations and diagrams to walk you through the steps. It results in a lovely dress-inside and out!
I promise, she loves it too! lol
I made one of these last night for my little girl. This was the first dress Ive ever made, and wow did it challenge my sewing skills!! It turned out lovely, but I had never sewn with a liner which confused the goodness out of me lol Thankfully with persistence and patience, we made it through! And M had a cute dress for picture day this morning ๐ Should have tried your Junebug dress first hehe thanks for the wonderful blog Jess!!
Awwww, she looks adorable! Thank you so much for the lovely review! I’m so happy you enjoyed making the dress! xoxo
She is the cutest! And, of course, so is the dress. ๐
Awww, could she be any cuter? =)
Love your cheery version and her hair and pictures!
