little dolly quilt

I had it on good authority (me and Santa's tight, yo) that Charlotte was getting a baby doll for Christmas (baby Sleeping Beauty to be exact, man, that Santa is so informative), so I decided to make a quick doll quilt for her, after all, Sadie has a few so Charlotte surely deserves one of her own!

Plus, I had a new tumbler die for my Go Baby cutter that I was dying to try out. If you look closely (please don't though....) you can see I need to work on my seams...getting them all the same size seems (pun intended) to escape me. There's always room for improvement, huh?

I made it with scraps and backed it in this cute floral, and it's bound in some Oliver and S fabric.

So there ya go. One of my few handmade presents this year. At least I made something!

Wow, what a great blog! I love your little quilt, I have one similar that I started awhile ago and now I am motivated to get busy on it. Love your ideas, I have two little granddaughters to sew for so I am very excited to see all your ideas and projects. Here's to an exciting New Year!

Fab patterns and colours. I prefer a more simple quilt and love this one. x

That's so cute and such a good idea! I just got an Go Baby, and I love the idea of using some of the blocks for baby doll quilts.

Adorable quilt! I attempted a doll quilt a few months ago and it was pathetic. None of my seams matched up. I guess I need to be a little more patient with the whole cutting part. :) But yours turned out adorable!

So cute! I made a baby doll quilt too. :) I'm never good with the seams so I purposely make quilts that won't require exact seams. :)

Really cute, Jess! My youngest got a Cabbage Patch Kid baby for Christmas and she has fallen in love with "Lena". I'm going to try to make her a little doll quilt before her birthday, and I love the idea of doing a tumbler quilt.
