knit infiniti scarf tutorial

Infiniti scarfs are super easy to make-and so cute! I want one in every color this winter, they're perfect for keeping chilly necks warm and cozy.

Plus you can use them to tie your kids up if they're rowdy. (I expect my mother of the year award any day now)

You'll need:

1/2 yard of knit fabric. I've used jersey, stretch lace, sheer stretchy stuff...as long as it stretches, you're good (both the scarves in this post were made with fabric from Hancock Fabrics)

polyester thread (though any type is fine really)

First lay your fabric with the selvages lining up. I had to trim down my sides so that they were even.

Then fold your fabric in half, right sides together, lengthwise. (so that the selvages are at the shorter ends)

Then sew (or serge) the raw edges together, starting and stopping about 3 inches from each end.

Turn the fabric tube right side out.

Then sew the two ends right sides together. You can twist the fabric if you want, a few times-this can make it drape nicely around your neck.

It should then look like this, with an open hole where the seams meet.

Use an invisible stitch to close the hole, and you're donzo! With practice, these can be whipped out in no time.

Also, please never let me say "donzo" again.

Thanks for another amazing tutorial! I whipped up a batch this morning in no time! I tried a couple in a light linen blend(not much stretch to it) and they look great too.

But your tutorial is more informative)
