KCWC-fall basics

Day three of the Kids Clothes Week Challenge-made this little skirt and top outfit-I wanted some fall basics she could mix and match with other pieces. (most of the time her choice is a dress....) I've had this cute heart-patterned knit for awhile so I was muy excited to use it up!

I really really REALLY like this skirt! It's a simple paperbag skirt-with some added belt loops and a tie. Super cute and comfy.

I made up a pattern for this wrap-tee, maybe I'll do a tutorial sometime, since after all, Charlotte needs some clothes too!

Again, love this skirt. So what have you been making?

I love this skirt too- little details really do make a difference, don't they? I've made a dress, some knot shorts, a pretty gauze top and tonights plan is to make a wrap back top. Then I'll have run out of precut items and will probably slow right down...

Very cute outfit. I've been avoiding paper bag skirts for me, because although they look fab, I fear it would be rather too close to my bust and therefore make me look enormous lol On Sadie it looks perfect though!

I love the skirt, Jess. The long tie looks so cute on this. Adorable shirt, too.

I have made a knit sweater so fair and dyed fabric to make Halloween leggings and a turquoise knit shirt! I have not blogged any of it yet.

Love the skirt. I may be copying you on that one. :)

And so far... I've made nothing! But I finally got my machine back last night, and have a planned trip to the fabric store today. Today is the day. I'm excited.

Love these outfits! What a great knit! I would probably wear them, I love them that much. :)

SO CUTE! Is Sadie fooled by skirts? This morning, my daughter refused to wear a skirt even though I was wearing one - she wanted a DRESS. Oh well, at least I had also made the dress. It'd be worse if they just wanted jeans and a t-shirt for us sewing mamas, right? ;)

Love this outfit!!! I would love a tutorial for the top. I started on a pillowcase ghost dress for my daughter yesterday. Can't wait to finish it.

I'd love for you to share how you make your belt loops. I know it may seem too simple, but I tried to make some one time, and I felt like they looked weird. I ended up tearing them off. Love the skirt!

OH! That skirt is just stunning - I want one in my size! I just adore the denim and turquoise polka dots together - so cute. I have sewn a pair of pocket pants and a t-shirt so far and am working on another outfit...crossing my fingers I can complete it before Sunday.

Hi just found your blog and I had to say hi. Maybe if I keep following your blog I get the sewing machine out again and finally sew something for my kids.

Love the criss cross top and the skirt. Myself, I'm trying to get 4 pairs of pj bottoms finished. :)
