pincushion a go go.

Sooo...in search of a quick project, I made this little guy the other day, when I was supposed to be working on other things. (of course) I used this tutorial.  I did add a piece of plastic (from a Glad container) into the wrist band and sewed into place to protect my wrist from puncture wounds.

Although my fingers seem to always be bleeding when I sew by hand. I'm a bit clumsy I guess.

You gotta appreciate when function meets cute-ness. I love how this wrist pincushion turned out and can't wait to sport it while sewing. (or to the grocery store, park, etc....)

I probably should make myself one of those instead of using my lame magnet thing. SUPER CUTE!

I made on of these wrist pin cushion thingies but I didn't think to put in anything to keep the pins from going through to my wrist. DOH! So basically it's useless... unless I use it for acupuncture.

ADORABLE! Reminds me of the ones my grandmother used to have (in a good way). :)

Cuteness! I'm excited to make one of these - I've been racking my brain to come up with a gift for one of my friends who crafts/sews/crochets, etc. even more than I do - and here it is! Thanks for sharing.
