I made it from another tee shirt-of course I didn't take a before picture. (because the power went out and I cut it out by flashlight. No power-so I thought I'd at least cut something out. What can I say-I'm a die hard) Just imagine a boxy, little boy shirt and you'll get the picture.
I made a pattern from one of Sadie's shirts that fits well-tee shirts are really easy once you get a few under your belt. I'm not entirely comfortable with knits yet-but I'm getting there. Definitely use a ball point needle with them. This is the tutorial I used to learn how to construct shirts. I used the existing hem and sleeves so I didn't have to hem it-hooray!
I added the big bow to girly it up! LOVE this.
I paired it with a little corduroy fall skirt for Sadie-made from a remnant found at Joann's-for about $1, I love sewing with remnants! It will be a sad, sad day when Sadie gets too big for remnant clothing. ;) But hey-then it's Charlotte's turn!
It was such a simple skirt-but so cute!
So this entire outfit cost about $2. I thrifted the tee shirt for $1 and the material was $1. Gotta love thrifty sewing! That looks like a million bucks. Or so.
****and wow! I'm getting SOO close to 1,000 followers! That just about blows my mind. I want to do a cool giveaway...but I'm drawing a blank. hmmm....I'll get back to you guys on that.
Edit: Scratch that. I've got some COOL stuff lined up for you guys!!
