All you need is love…and some free stuff.

To conclude our week of Loove…..
Some lovely giveaways of things I love!

Care will be doing the same thing on her blog-don’t miss out on those giveaways!

(and a Happy Anniversary to my mom and dad-they’re on their way to Mexico on a cruise. Can I just say, JEALOUS! lol)

Who doesn’t love zippers? Ok, we may not always love putting them IN to projects, but really, when they’re this colorful and cute, you can learn, right? My awesome sponsor Zip It, is giving away a $25 gift certificate to their shop! They have zippers in every color of the rainbow, so you’re sure to find what you need for your next project!
ย Barberry and Lace is giving away a Silver Stitches necklace! I myself have one of these (minus the scissors, just my preference), and love it. What better way to let people know you’re obsessed with sewing than to wear a miniature version of your obsession hobby around your neck? Plus, the little pearl is the perfect touch.
Now for some fabric! You know how I Loove my fabric.

Pinked Fabrics is giving away 2 yards of delicious fabric. (ok, delicious-looking) And yay! There will be two winners here-one yard for each winner! Good luck picking one out of her gorgeous selection. What a problem to have, eh?

Lastly, I am personally giving away this set of adorable labels from my own stash. I get them here, but sadly she’s closing her Etsy store once her inventory is gone, so grab some while you can! They’re perfect for scrapbooking, making cards, or actually using as labels. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’ll be giving away a set of 3 of each color: watermelon, canteloupe, lemon chiffon, (hungry yet?) sour apple, sea glass, and hydrangea. They’re adhesive backed, so super easy to use. I’ve been using these for years and love them! They are the prettiest colors. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. I think my best valentines day present was getting engaged to my ex husband granted it turned out to be a double edged sword but hey….how much more romantic? The toss up would be an amethyst ring i bought myself the year after my son was born

  2. Well, I thought that after two years together me and my now-husband wouldn’t be bothering with Valentine’s anymore. In this country it’s not really celebrated, only really by new lovers. So, the day arrives, now-hubby takes me out to dinner and presents me with a card and present (jewellry…). And for him I have… nothing. Oops!

  3. I can’t remember any Valentine’s Day presents or experiences. My husband and I don’t make a big deal out of it. I always just get a card, which is enough for me.

    gwennypenny(at)live(dot)com

  4. Last year had to be the best Valentines day I have had. It was the first time in a long time that I didn’t have to work. My two little boys were just a month old and getting stronger every day and my toddler was just so entertaining. I got to spend the evening with my boys and my husband. He made me dinner and we just relaxed! Not too exciting, but great none the less.
    babyfickas at gmail dot com

  5. Oh, I love all the cheesy pink and red and white of Valentine’s Day. And I’m always excited to receive a goofy box of chocolates all for myself!
    Jan at [email protected]

  6. Well, It is not celebrated here as it is in the US. May be just the new lovers do it ๐Ÿ˜‰

  7. Best V-day hands down was the one my husband proposed to me on, 15 years ago. And after a long day of working in his family’s florist….my first V-day floral experience, which fyi is hell when you are on that side….it was the perfect ending!!! He and I rode together the rest of the evening, making deliveries until about 10pm that night. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for the fun! Lots of neat goodies to get in on…and yes, I too love zippers, especially in rainbows!

    three4me_4now(at)yahoo(dot)com

  8. I think this coming Valentine’s day will be lovely, I’ve gotten an early gift, my husband told me tonight that’s he’s coming home early from his business trip so I’ll get to spend the day with him!

  9. Valentine’s day itself is pretty rubbish in our house as my otherhalf is a chef so is always working but we usually try and do something just for ourselves around that date … This year he’s taking me away for a few days just after … Wahoooo!!!

    thecrazygeckogmailcom

  10. What a fun giveaway! I love Valentine’s day! I think my favorite one so far was when I baked a cake for my honey in a shape of a heart. I am looking real forward to this Valentines Day!

    [email protected]

  11. I love when I get flowers, but NOT roses. I love wildflowers the best!

  12. What a fun giveaway! I would love to win all of these things!
Best Valentines? Well there was a couple that lived by us. We switched with them. The hubby’s gathered at one house to watch a “guy” movie. And the wifes gathered at the other house to watch a “chick” flick. It was the best, most relaxing Valentines day ever!
    [email protected]

  13. My best valentine was when my husband and I were still dating. He unwrapped some Hershey Kisses and replaced the little paper wrapper that sticks out with his own sayings of all the reasons why he loved me. I was so touched…

…until his 4 year old nephew found the stash and ate most of them without me ever finding out what half of them said! DOH!

Great giveaway – thanks so much!

    [email protected]

  14. Sorta embarrassed to say we’ve never really done much for Valentine’s Day … I’ll be lovebird and say we celebrate all year long! ;o)

    ajclay1(at)hotmail.(dot)com

  15. I think my most memorable valentines present was the first one when I was married and my husband got me a cat.

    Thanks for the giveaways.

    Angela
    accoupons at gmail dot com

  16. My son’s father and actually started dating on Valentine’s Day, so we’ve had fantastic anniversaries over the last few years. Unfortunately, he always forgets that I can’t stand traditional candies, so every year I smile and choke them down to the best of my ability to keep from hurting his feelings….
    jesdeamer(at)gmail(dot)com

  17. The best thing about valentines day is the heart shaped Strawberry marshmellows!
    [email protected]

  18. Oh, how sweet! Thanks for the fun and the giveaways… I love the handmade valentines from kids of all ages…

  19. My best/worst was my first Valentine’s Day as a mom… Since I had just had a baby, we decided to stay in. Family that had come to visit went out and left us to spend the night at home as a family. We delivered an invitation to my husband at work and set the table up and made dinner. So special.

My leg had been hurting that week… I called the nurse on call at my ob that night. She said it sounded like everything was ok, but to call the next week if it didn’t get better. It didn’t. The following week I was admitted for a week-long hospital stay for a post partum blood clot in my leg. That’s what came to mind for a best/worst Vday. Ugh.

  20. my best Vday experience: My hubby and I had been “kinda” dating for less than two months when Vday rolled around, so I wasn’t expecting anything from him. We weren’t even “official” yet! But to my surprise, I woke up to a gigantic bouquet of lilies (my favorite) and a boxed filled with cut up hearts with reasons why he loved me on them. I was floored!
    kittycatsandairplanes(at)gmail(dot)com

  21. My worst gift was an awful gold ring I’m pretty sure my (now husband) boyfriend at the time picked up from, probably. the clearance section in the “fine jewlery” at JCPenny. It was SO ugly! And since we had been looking at engagement rings, it was even worse becuase I thought maybe that was what it was supposed to be (thank goodness it wasn’t and he got me a beautiful engagement ring just a few weeks later). I know its the thought that counts and it took me years to tell him what I really thought of that ring!
    [email protected]

  22. Thanks for the giveaway! My husband and I don’t do much on Valentine’s day, but I am planning on making a glittery, super pink card for my niece’s first Valentine’s day this year!

    [email protected]

  23. Thanks so much for the awesome giveaway. Valentine’s is coming a little early at my house…my husband is getting a truck! He needed it anyways and it makes easy gift giving for me!!

  24. We’re not big on Valentine’s day but my most fun Valentine’s day was last year when we learned to ski and snowboard, lots of fun!

  25. Well, as some others have said, my hubby & I don’t usually do anything super special for Valentine’s Day, even thought I’m always secretly hoping he’ll surprise me with something special. However, I think this year’s Valentine’s Day will probably be my best b/c I decided to forget waiting for him to get me something, so I went ahead & bought myself a present. ๐Ÿ™‚

  26. WOW! What an awesome give-a-way!

My favorite Valentines present was roses. I beg my husband for them every year and he hates to spend the money on something that will die.

So I was shocked when I got a full dozen one year!

    [email protected]

  27. My husband and I always make a go-all-out kind of dinner at home for V day. We never make a meal with all the courses so we have fun planning and cooking together. Thanks for doing this giveaway!

    mkaralambo(at)gmail(dot)com

  28. I love fresh flowers but they are always so expensive on Valentines day so every year I tell my husband not to worry about getting me any flowers. Without fail though, every Valentines day, flowers come my way. hehe I secretly love it!

    [email protected]

  29. My best v-day ever was waaayy back in high school. DH and I were dating then (he had already graduated). Every year the “popular” girls would get roses/candy/etc. sent to them from their boyfriends, and they would get called out of class to go pick it up in the office. Well, I had never recieved a v-day gift. But that year he surprised me and had one of the biggest bouquets of roses sent to me. I was so excited!!

    amyschader(at)yahoo(dot)com

  30. My most memorable Valentine’s gift was a homemade Care Bear from my mom. It was red. I wish I still had it! My mom always made Valentine’s special <3

    [email protected]

  31. In high school, my friend and I would sell play-a-grams for people on Valentine’s Day.
We would deliver a dozen beautiful roses and then play a love song. It was an all day event for us, but it was so fun to surprise people with such a fun gift from their Valentine.

    marieallen at cox.net

  32. My birthday is Valentine’s Day, so I would have to say some of my worst Valentine’s were those as a young adult and my mom wouldn’t give up the Valentine Birthday bit…all pink and red and frilly. Now she’s gotten over it! sherrietraveling at gmail dot com

  33. My husband gave me a box of Valentine chocolate shaped candles because I was dieting. Now that is love! Thanks, Boo
    [email protected]

  34. What great giveaways! I think the worst thing I have ever gotten for valentines day was a set of fake pink sapphire(huge) HEART shaped earings in a gold setting.First, I’m not a fan of gold or shaped stones. My biggest issue was the size. Luckily the gift giver did it as a joke and backed it up with a beautiful diamond necklace.

    kera(dot)unfried(at)gmail(dot)com

  35. One Valentine’s Day we went to this really nice restaurant and were sat next to 2 smokers who lit up at the end of the meal which then ruined the taste of our meal which we had just started. I don’t have a problem with smokers, but when you are sitting in the Non-smoking section it can be kind of annoying. Now I try to avoid going out to dinner on Valentine’s Day. If we go out, we go a couple days before or after to miss the crowds!

  36. Thanks for the wonderful giveaways…valentines is not the most significant celebration for me or my family but the first valentines after meeting my husband, I was surprised at work with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

    plnewhou(at)juno(dot)com

  37. My best Valentine’s day present came a few weeks early. My husband, always the romantic, surprised me with a heart shaped necklace made of pink sapphires which he got simply because I mentioned in passing I’d love a pink sapphire.

I’d love to win any of those things – thanks for the great giveaway!

  38. Wow! What great prizes!!!!! (Hoping I win…..)
I’m thinking my best Valentine’s will be this year, although a bit later than the 14th… my husband and I are going to Las Vegas at the end of this month for 5 days. A very much needed “adults only” vacation!
Thanks for the chance to win!
sonya dot missbossypants at gmail dot com

  39. I’m not big on Valentine’s Day, especially since I got married. I don’t want the hubs to spend our money on silly gifts. Instead, he started the tradition of making me dinner (he rarely cooks). The first year he did it was especially awesome – he did a whole candlelit dinner with Martinelli’s to go along with it. And he did the dishes.

  40. Ok…One memorable Valentines day was when my husband and I were dating. I had been out of town for a work event, and I came back on Valentines day. He picked me up from the airport and took me home to have some time to rest before our hot date. Then he came and got me and took me to Otavios (Sp?). We had YUMMY food, great music and mostly…we just got to be together. ๐Ÿ˜€

    Thanks for considering my entry!
    [email protected]

  41. We don’t usually do much for valentines. My birthday is the day before so we do all our celebrating then.
    kirkandalice(at)gmail(dot)com

  42. My worst Valentines Day was moving my then boyfriend, now husband, from his apartment into another apartment in my basement. Doesnt sound bad enough? Well it was in the middle of a Chicago winter with about a foot of snow on the ground. Really romantic huh?
    rhinestonebeagle(at)gmail(dot)com

  43. I can’t think of a valentine’s that really stands out for me. I just enjoy the fun that my kids have with it!

  44. Italian dinner…and diamond earrings ๐Ÿ™‚

  45. Last night wasn’t Valentine’s day, but Kris forgot to plan our date this week (again!) so he got me my favorite smoothie and wrote “Will you go out with me tomorrow? PLEASE?!?!” on it. So high school, and so sweet.

    jenkins.brianna at gmail

  46. My worst Valentines “gift” was when I was 17 my Dad was arrested on Valentines day.

The best is a toss up between when I was 14 a guy I liked surprised me by having a gift delivered to me at school. I was totally shocked that I got anything and very happy it came from my friend that I secretly liked. Or my first Valentines with my (now) husband where he gave me a bunch of snickers bars with notes on them telling me why he loved me. ๐Ÿ™‚
    princess.ambi at gmail.com

  47. My first valentines day with my now husband, we were poor college students. But I expected something thoughtful, even if it was cheap. For dinner… he took me to Wendy’s. 14 years later, we still laugh about it, but I figure he was smart… set expectations low, and you can only go up from there! codi(dot)kaji(at)gmail(dot)com

  48. The year after my husband and I were married, he planned a great big valentines day surprise and got the night off work for the occasion… only I forgot to tell him I had to work that night! Oops! Thank goodness he’s easygoing, we celebrated a day or two later.
    [email protected]

  49. My husband bought us cheesecake from the cheesecake factory (where we got engaged) for Valentines day and got a ticket doing it. It was a surprise and so sweet!

  50. Hmm. I can’t really think of a favorite Valentine’s Day. But Finnish Fazer chocolate was an awesome gift. ๐Ÿ™‚
    Thanks for the giveaway!

    pink.karen(at)gmail(dot)com

  51. I think the most “memorable” Valentine’s Day present was when my husband decided to make dinner for us.

It was supposed to be fish with dill butter but it turned out absolutely disgusting. We both took one bite, spit it out in our napkins and headed out the door to a restaurant.

I loved that he made the effort and we had a good laugh about it even to this day.

    tee(dot)rose16(at)gmail(dot)com

  52. Best Valentine: Came home from work (3rd shift) and there was a HUGE valentine that my husband and daughter had worked on. I felt so loved ๐Ÿ™‚

    mrspelly at gmail

  53. The first Valentine’s Day we were married, my husband spelled my name wrong on the card…

    rsnyder at infowest dot com

  54. Last year was pretty awful… I told my now fiancรฉ that I did NOT want any silly vday gifts like pjs and fake flowers and Teddy bears…. Apparently that was taken to mean that I couldn’t possibly live without them….

I cried all morning – what a waste of money and opportunity to surprise me with something unique… But whatevs

    Laura.newsol(at)gmail.com

  55. My very worst Valentines was my ex fiance telling me he didn’t love me. Four years later? I was pregnant with my second and received a 3/4 carat diamond engagement ring ( from my now-husband ). He even picked out the diamond himself, and the setting himself – and he had LISTENED to what I had told him I liked!
    colordynamicAThotmail.com

  56. Wow, great giveaway! We don’t do anything for valentines day. bookloveraz(at)gmail(dot)com

  57. LOVE the giveaway!!
I haven’t had a bad Valentine’s gift incident (yet), but my best would be when my husband and I were dating and he got me a dozen roses, took me to my favorite Japanese restaurant, snuck my camera into his truck so I could take pictures of the night and gave me cute Valentine’s scrap book supplies (to obviously make pages of the night), and took me to temple square. Now that we’re married, I’m lucky to get to go out to dinner for Valentines! Haha!!
Thanks for the opportunity to win!
    [email protected]

  58. Worst: I was 16 and my boyfriend surprised me at my high school basketball game with a “promise ring”. Turned out to be one of the worst relationships I was ever in! Glad it ended.

Best: We do not give gifts on Valentines. We make a special dinner with lots of fun LOVE decor. We eat by candle light with our children. Afterwards we write “I love you because…” notes to each other and read them together as a family. My children love it. They are my best Valentine gift and I love their sweet smiles they get when they hear us read the love notes together!

  59. Love that cute little necklace!

My first boyfriend had never really done anything for valentines day in the past, so he totally forgot to make any kind of reservation. we ended up getting added onto his parents reservation and eating with them – not the most romantic thing for either couple!

  60. My best Valentine’s story is of my husband and my first Valentine’s day married. He gave me a very nice pair of wool socks and some Tweezerman tweezers. It was so funny:) I had been complaining that my feet were cold and that I hated my cheap tweezers. It was adorable:)

    [email protected]

  71. Don’t really have a worst Valentine’s Day. Best would probably be finding out my husband and I were pregnant and spending the evening exploring our favorite museum, followed by a lovely dinner.

    [email protected]

  72. Let’s see… well, I dumped a boyfriend on Valentine’s Day. ๐Ÿ™‚ I made a resolution to break up the next time he called… and it happened to be at 11:45pm on V-day.

  73. Best Valentines present was a weekend in the mountains with a tour of the winery at The Biltmore. Happy February! [email protected]

  79. We don’t do much valentines stuff, but my best valentines memory is that on valentine’s day we decided to marry and about an hour later we found out it was valentines day ๐Ÿ™‚

  80. My Dad used to make Valentine’s day huge for us. Every year he would fill our (my sister and I) room with balloons, flowers and candy. It was a little girls dream.

    mcheaston {at} gmail {dot} com

  81. I would have to say last year when my dad sent me flowers and a little crosage for each of my girls

    [email protected]

  82. Wow, thanks for the chance to win!

My best Valentine’s Day was spent with my husband at home. Usually, we get dressed up and go out to dinner and some kind of show, exchange gifts, and just generally have a lot of fun together.

But two years ago I was extremely ill on Valentine’s Day. I had the stomach flu to end all stomach flues and hardly wanted to move. Instead of going out, my husband spent all day in bed with me, keeping me warm, fetching things for me and napping. Sometime after the nausea had begun to fade away it occurred to me that, possibly for the first time, we’d spent Valentine’s Day actually showing one another we really, truly loved one another no matter what.

This year, we’re going out on the 13th and choosing to spend the day at home together on the 14th. We like it better that way.

  83. I had a romantic getaway at the ocean with my husband. He hurt is back right before and was on painkillers–which made him very sleepy-so we watched lots of TV and thats about it :).

  84. The first Valentine’s Day that my husband and I were dating was pretty special. He made me dinner and served it on a candlelit table next to the fireplace. Very romantic.

  85. BEST- when my husband and I decided to stop giving each other gifts. He gets chocolate I get flowers we share both. I give my son a little something he gives our daughter a little something. We have a fantastic dinner and something yummy for dessert. Every year is perfect and stress free!
myzoebug (at) ix (do)t netcom (dot) com

  86. Thanks for the great giveaways (and easy entry)! My favorite Valentine’s day gift would have to be a sterling silver bracelet engraved with on of my favorite quotes. So sweet and thoughtful (not always what happens with my precious hubby ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks again!!

  87. My favorite Valentine’s Day was when my husband made dinner for me. He rarely cooks, so it was a very nice treat ๐Ÿ™‚

    mindilong(at)gmail(dot)com

  88. My best Valentine’s present came a week early when my son was born strong and healthy!!! Hard to believe he is almost 11!!

    [email protected]

  89. What a great giveaway!! I would LOVE to win! I don’t have any crazy memorable Vday experiences. We are pretty practical people. ๐Ÿ™‚ mfsbailey at gmail

  90. The best Valentines gift actually comes from the singles group at our church…they have, for the last several years, offered to watch our kids so we can go out on a date! They also do this around christmas time so we can shop together without the kids!
    [email protected]

  91. One year for Valentine’s Day, I bought my (now) husband a window squeegee as a gift. We’re an odd couple. pxilated at gmail dot com.

  92. Thanks for the chance of winning. I live in Sweden and even though the shops are working hard on getting everybody to celebrate Valentines day, it’s really not a big event here.

But last year I got a Valentines card from my son. He had drawn it in kindergarten. And my daughter had scrunched up tissue paper and glued it to cardboard… <3

  93. my husband & i don’t really do anything for valentine’s day… but our first kiss happened to be the day after valentine’s day. close enough, right? ๐Ÿ™‚

  94. Best Valentine’s Day… Probably the February we were dating. I knew a proposal was coming and my roommates were all CERTAIN it would happen on February 14th. It didn’t! But we had the best date making foil dinners and s’mores at a local park. There was also a surprise of flowers and candy in my room when I got home, placed by a hopeful roommate! We ended up getting engaged on St. Paddy’s Day…

  95. Worst valentines ooh what to choose, probably the boyfriend(ex) who’d promised to take me out to a fancy restaurant. He turned up late drunk but at least he brought flowers!! However on closer inspection I found that he’d stolen them from the cemetry round the corner.. how did I know? They still had the sympathy card attached!!! He never could understand why I dumped him.. go figure.
Thanks for the chance at a great giveaway.

  99. Oh what fun!

I don’t recall a spectacular or horrible V-day – hubby and I usually don’t even do anything for it. Maybe we’re boring, but oh well!

  100. My husband and I are both musicians and we waited and saved for years to buy ourselves a beautiful piano. A few years ago we were finally ready and we bought a Boston piano from Stienway and Sons. It has a beautiful sound! It arrived on Valentines day with a bouquet of flowers nearly half the size of me!! It was such a special day. I love your blog, I’m inspired everyday. Thank you so much.

  101. Awesome stuff as usual! I don’t have any great or terrible Valentine’s experiences. I guess I was sad about missing valentines day in second grade b/c I got chickenpox from my sister, which was truly tragic at the time but not really in hindsight. ha.

  102. Best…I was in Las Vegas for my cousin’s wedding. My then boyfriend, now husband didn’t come, but he spent hours tracking down which hotel we were staying at. It was under my grandparent’s name and I’m not even sure he knew their names at that time in our relationship. Luckily he somehow worked it out with all the different hotels he called. When we walked into our room after a day of fun there was the biggest bouquet of red roses you’ve ever seen.

  103. My best valentine’s present was a trip to the beach. I was 5 months pregnant and my husband took us to our favorite bookstore/restaurant. After that we took a walk along the bay front. We had such a good time we forgot to even go to the beach. But it was the most relaxing and sweet day ever.

  104. I haven’t celebrated a whole lot of valentines days, but I remember when I was little my parents would always get us a little something for valentines day. I think the hoiday always carries a childhood nostalgia apect. It reminds me of my parents

  105. My husband always buys me fresh flowers for Valentines. I never expect it and am always surprised with the bouquet.

  106. My husband had my favorite ice cream shipped to me while I was out of town, when we were first dating. It arrived with dry ice!
thanks for the chance to win– I would especially love some of the gorgeous fabric!

  107. hmm the worst present, I almost had a gay guy give me a dozen red roses in high school and ask me out…yeah it’s kinda a long story.

  108. Best Valentine’s present was a little vacation I had with my husband a couple years ago. Thanks for the giveaway!
    heidikittelson at gmail dot com

  109. BEST valentines day was 8 years ago. I got married to my husband the day before…. I know… CHEESY!
    [email protected]

  110. Awesome giveaway! For my worst Valentine’s day I got dumped but it became my best too because my mom and dad took me out for turkey tetrazinni and frosted sugar cookies at this bakery I love! It was so sweet of them!

    olympicsleeper(at)hotmail(dot)com

  111. Oh Valentine’s Day, just four days before my birthday each year, and never too exciting. One year EVERYONE at my work was getting super-gigantic roses from their husbands… I didn’t say anything to mine b/c we were kind of broke at the time, but I happened to mention it in an email to my sister-in-law. Well, two hours later, my husband sent me flowers! They were beautiful! But, just as nice, my sister-in-law sent me flowers too, because she didn’t want me to feel left out! I think Valentine’s Day is more for sisterly love.

  112. Hello hello….
My partner and I don’t do valentines day – we prefer the adhoc ‘Happy Tuesday’, however in our second year together, he took me to see ‘Hannibal’ and I organised for him to go swimming with Sharks at Edinburgh Aquarium – romantic huh?!
    Great giveaway as ever, thankyou
    thejasperpatch at googlemail dot com

  113. The worst Valentine gift is getting nothing which has happened. I think this year is the best since my birthday is the day before Valentine’s day and I love this “holiday” my husband and I are going to Las Vegas! What could be better than that. On top of that he bought me a nice small camera to be able to keep in my purse so I don’t have to lug around our big camera. I am very happy this year.

    [email protected]

  114. My best Valentine was the year I had nothing to do and no one to do anything with. My then-friend, now-husband showed up out of the blue and we ended up having a great night playing pool and just hanging out.

  115. Worst Experience: Filling my ex-husband’s car with red heart baloons early a.m. on valentine’s and getting nothing in return (…and now he’s the ex…) Best: My (now) husband flying us to Chicago on a whim and eating deep dish pizza for the first time! jennifer(dot)gardner(at)hotmail(dot)com HAPPY V-DAY JESS, LOVE YOUR BLOG!

  116. My favorite valentines was the first one we spent with our daughter!
    shersjunkmail(at)gmail(dot)com

  117. My best Valentine’s Day memory was last year. I had just found out I was pregnant and my husband treated me to my favorite restaurant and he got me a box of chocolate frogs! Haha! They were so tiny and cute I almost didn’t eat them. We spent the whole night just talking about how happy we were to become parents and discussing our hopes and dreams for the future.
By the way, thanks for the give-away!
    julie.lemagne(at)gmail.com

  118. Best Valentine’s day gift was my then-boyfriend (now husband), having spent 2 days on a Greyhound bus, moved to be with me! That was a very happy 14 years ago.

  119. Great giveaway!! My worst valentine’s experience was probably when I was 14. It was my first V-day with a boyfriend so I went all out and bought him all sorts of presents. What did I get in return? “Oh, it’s valentine’s day? SWEET thanks babe!” Not a single gift for me! What a rip off! (My grandma was not too thrilled since she was the one that payed for his presents. Ha).

    mstuckey18[at]gmail[dot]com

  120. All of my valentines day’s have been pretty much the same – a nice day, but nothing extra-ordinary. HOWEVER, this year I may be having a baby on v-day! So it’s possible that I will have a memorable one after all!

  121. Thanks for the giveaway! My valentine’s days are pretty much the usual – spending time with my husband. Nothing fancy or out of the ordinary. Maybe I should start thinking of something different though!

  122. My worst memories of Valentine’s Day has to be middle school. Every year the eighth graders would sell carnations the week before to be handed out on Valentine’s Day. Then all day the popular kids would walk around laden with flowers while the nerds would walk around empty handed. Guess which I was? Now that I think back on it, I can see what an awful ‘fundraiser’ that was.

  123. Love the giveaway! My best V-day (to date) has to be when I recieved my cat, Kobie. He has brought me so much joy, love and laughter over the years that far surpasses any amount of roses or chocolates. This also signified the start of my husbands love of cats! Talk about a well fought battle!!

    dphillipsmba(at)aol(dot)com

  124. My best Valentine came from my son last year. He is a total daddy’s boy and he gave me his unsolicited handmade Valentine card and melted my heart. My husband has given me cards and flowers through the years but nothing like that little [email protected]

  125. I don’t really have any big memories of Valentine’s Day. DH and I have always kept it low-key because our first Valentine’s Day together involved driving around for over an hour to find a restaurant that wasn’t insanely crowded. Now he cooks me dinner at home.

    my101blog(at)gmail(dot)com

  126. The worst Valentine’s experience was receiving a nice earring and necklace set from my now ex-husband, what makes it bad is that it was bought online with MY credit card which I got stuck paying for when we split a couple months later..

  127. My worst Valentine’s Day was the first year my now-hubby and I were dating during Valentine’s Day. See, I’d always felt bummed on Valentine’s because I never had a valentine. So I was suuuuuuuper excited. Then the day comes around and… nothing. I was all heartbubbles all day, expecting something, anything. Turned out my then-boyfriend was so against the day, he went the opposite direction and didn’t even kiss me goodnight like he normally did when he dropped me off after classes (college.) I was heartbroken.
My dad (who he got and gets along with better than his own dad) gave him A Chat about it, and told him how he absolutely really thinks Valentine’s Day and a few other ones are absolutely stupid, but he does something for it because my mom loves it and it makes her happy, and it’s really such a simple thing to do. The chat must have worked, because he’s gotten me something little every year since.

I guess my best Valentine’s Day would be last year. It was just dinner and a movie at home, but it must have been a good day because I wound up pregnant with my second girl. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  128. My Best Valentine’s Day I was given a gift of a trip to Hawaii! It was heaven! I can’t really think of a worst Valentine’s Day. Some are better than others, but they are all special in their own way, with a special someone or not.

    [email protected]

  129. I would love to win. I don’t really celebrate valentines day so I have nothing to say.
    [email protected]

  130. gonna have to admit im not big into Valentines day…well, more so now that i celebrate with my kids, but hubby and i dont do much…ill blame it on my sour mood all the V-days that I spent alone!
    krousegirl2 at aol dot com

  131. My best Valentine’s have been all the ones that I spend with my boys! I love chocolate kisses! The Hershey ones too ๐Ÿ˜‰
    Thanks for the chance!
    hugs, margie
    TheBumbleGirl at Rocketmail.com

  132. I enjoy V-day each year with my hubby because instead of going out, we make dinner at home. We swap each year…one makes dinner and one makes dessert. It’s fun to come up with new recipes that we know the other will enjoy.

    eilis_byrnes at yahoo dot com

  133. Oh my gosh!!! What great giveaways! I would love it all!
My favorite Valentine’s Day memory was the first year that me and now-hubby were dating. We were juniors in high school and he actually took the time and(with some help from his mom) cooked me a dinner which we ate by candlelight!

But it could be trumped by the Valentine’s Day after we got married when we got a positive pregnancy test!

    cgrande07(at)gmail(dot)com

  134. My husband surprised me with a polo one year I really didn’t think he was listening!

  135. Loved your ideas this week! I think my best & worst valentine’s day were one in the same. It was my first v-day with my husband and it was so wonderful to spend it with someone I was in love with, but his gift was such a bummer – a grover doll. Like from sesame street. Would have been fine if there was any reason behind it, but there wasn’t. He still buys really random gifts, but that’s about the only bad side of him, so I’m happy to live with it!
    [email protected]

  136. What adorable giveaways! I would love to win that necklace for my sister-in-law…her b-day isn’t too far away…

My most glamorous V-day was my first with my husband. He told me to dress up for dinner, and when we arrived to the fancy restaurant I’d been wanting to try, we were led to a table that already had a beautiful bouquet waiting for me…we had a delicious dinner, and when I returned from the restroom b/t dinner & dessert, there was a tiny box with a pair of pearl earrings on a dessert plate at my seat ๐Ÿ™‚ As romantic as that was, we’ve certainly gone the way of just getting some relaxing time together, just the two of us. ANd it’s equally wonderful!

  137. Lovely stuff! My worst Valentine’s gift was bedrest when I was pregnant with my first..

  138. Great giveaway!

My best V-Day experience was when my then-boyfriend cleaned and decorated my entire apartment, to surprise me when I got home.

  139. Thanks! I’ve enjoyed love week. Best V-Day…the first after we were married. My sweetie used a whole box of cheap valentines, and wrote a term of endearment on each and hid them all through the house. I found valentines for months afterward.

  140. SOOOO excited (about the zippers, and then saw all the other great stuff!)!!! Mine would have to be the first one after we were married… he brought me a yummy chocolate cake and a teddy bear with a heart (what do you do with those afterwards… its the thought!)

  141. Wow! What a great giveaway!
My favorite Valentine’s was probably the year I got married and my fiance got me the tiniest cutest little Jack Russell puppy! She’s so rotten now!
This year I’m planning on spending the weekend with my husband, baby girl and little sister while my parents celebrate their 24th anniversary, which is Valentine’s day!
    Myjellybean10 at gmail dot com

  142. My best Valentines Day? My husband (then bf) had 11 florists deliver me 1 rose with a letter on it. All day long I was receiving rose deliveries at work. by the end, all the letters spelled out “BE MY VALENT_NE”

When I got to his house after work, he had 1 red rose for me. The card said “I “love you.

    Such a great day!
Thanks for the chance to win soem great prizes!!

  143. Thank you for the giveaway I really enjoy your blog.
I don’t have a good or bad story as we really don’t celebrate Valentine’s day here in Australia. It is around in the shops and people go out for dinner etc but not me or my family.

    Ldowe at hotmail dot com

  144. best v-day gift was last year, my husband brought flowers and surprised me with dinner and a babysitter for our daughter..it may sound like a normal thing for some men but not mine lol he never does ANYTHING romantic.
    ๐Ÿ™‚
    anastasiaglenn3(at)gmail(dot)com

  145. My best Valentine’s Day was when my husband and I went to Pigeon Forge, TN for the day. We got our picture taken at one those “old time” photo places and had dinner at the Dixie Stampede. Lots of great memories were made!

  146. Thanks for the give away! My worst valentines gift was when I was 15, my mom bought me Pjs from the little girls department!! I wore them 1 or 2 night but I was too embarrassed to wear them more than that! My best gift wasn’t exactly on V-day (a little bit early) my Dh made me dinner when we were first married and he was soooo Cute about everything!
    shantelhjones at gmail dot com

  147. Peeps. Case closed.

  148. A boy in highschool wanted to ask me out on Valentines Day, but ended up doing it on the 13th because he “just couldn’t wait another day”. 11 years later, we’re married with two kids ๐Ÿ™‚
    -A

  149. Just last year, my husband carved me a little heart shaped box for Valentine’s Day!

  150. Thanks, Jess! Love your blog!

The Valentines day I remember the most was the year I was pregnant with our first child. I was due on v-day, but we had a huge blizzard and were buried in 36 in of snow! Our neighbors kept blowing off our driveway in case we needed to get out, but our son didn’t arive until 10 days later!

Hope you have a great one!

    emariehannon(at)gmail(dot)com

  151. My best Valentines Day was the first year my husband was in law school. We were dirt poor so buying gifts was out. We didn’t even have enough money to go to Mcdonalds! So after putting the kids to bed we both dressed up all fancy like and we enjoyed a candle lit dinner that I had made and then danced to love songs.
    natbackus(at)gmail(dot)com

  152. Thanks for the awesome giveaway! And, I’ll never forget junior year in high school when my boyfriend brought me a GIANT (and I mean Giant) balloon and FAKE (not even cute fake) roses to school for me. I didn’t want to hurt his feelings, so I hid my embarrassment and carried them around all day. Let’s just say, I was NOT the envy of my girlfriends! ๐Ÿ™‚ webduck27(at)gmail(dot)com

  153. I’m only 21 and don’t have a lot of mushy valentine experiences. My favorite Valentine’s Days were in high school. I was in my school’s madrigals and on Valentine’s day I got to miss school and go all around my town singing to others’ valentines. I made a lot of good memories!

shalise (d0t) fisher (at) gmail (d0t) com

  154. I think my best was when I was first engaged to my husband, and he left gifts of fruit(!) with corny messages (e.g., “Since we canteloupe, let’s just have a happy valentine’s day!”) all around the different places I went that day. It was such fun!

    wimseyfan(at)yahoo(dot)com

  155. I love all things pink & chocolate- but sadly I can’t remember any particularly memorable Valentines Days! It’s usually low-key for us- my husband & I just exchange cards and go out for dinner or dessert.

    Thanks for the fun giveaways!

    klineca AT gmail DOT com

  156. I hit go before remembering to include my e-mail address. So I’ll just redo the whole thing.

What a great giveaway. I’m a new convert to enjoying Valentine’s Day. I’m looking forward to celebrating our second Valentine’s Day together with my bf this year. Last year’s gift was perfect. I had just moved and lost my pillows in the process. He gave me new fluffy pillows for my bed.

    anna [at] 64colorbox [dot] com

  157. What fun giveaways! Neither my husband nor I are big Valentine’s Day celebrators, so I really have neither good nor bad experiences to share… And that’s so sad! I’ll have to have a really great Valentine’s Day this year so now I’ll have a memory to share ๐Ÿ™‚

  158. Fun giveaway!

My husband and I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day but I remember once when we were dating (and flat broke) he saved up to take me out for a fancy dinner. It was perfect!

    popmahea at msu dot edu

  159. WOW What an awesome group of prizes. I see a few things there I would just love to win. Thanks so much for the chance to win any of them.

Hmmmmm best or worst Valentine’s Day present? Gosh, that’s tough and it would depend on who’s view you looked at. I told my ex husband I wanted a divorce on Valentine’s Day so yea, not the best for him but huge relief for me. LOL It just happened that day and was not planned but just kinda happened because of the last straw type of thing he did. I’m really NOT that mean; honest.

Things are much better now with my new hubby who spoils me rotten. Two years ago he totally surprised me sending me a Vermont Teddy Bear and it was holding a gorgeous little purse. Inside that purse was a beautiful diamond necklace. Then later in the day I got 2 dozen roses delivered. I think that was probably my best Valentine’s Day.

(Sorry forgot the email addy so I redid the comment and deleted the first)

  160. My husband and I don’t really do Valentine’s gifts for each other. But as a kid, my mom always did them for my brother and I, and we opened them at breakfast. One year, my mom gave me a pair of white string bikini undies w/ little red hearts on them. I think I was probably 13 at the time, and I had to open them in front of my dad and brother… definitely the most embarrassing gift I’ve received. ๐Ÿ™‚

    [email protected]

  161. Mine and my husbands third date was on Valentines day. He planned to cook me a romantic dinner. It was great! Dessert was a different story. Long story short… things went terribly wrong and he ended up setting my apartment on fire! With about 20 people watching from outside, he busted the glass covering the fire extinguisher and put the fire out. He became a hero to the entire apartment building! When we tell people this story they are shocked that I still married him. It’s probably one of the funniest things thats ever happened to me!

    kelseynator (at) gmail (dot) com

  162. What a fun giveaway!

My hubby has always been good at making me feel appreciated, last year for Valentines Day I got a pedicure.

    [email protected]

  163. Great giveaway!

My favorite valentine will be this year. We are going on our first day night since having our daughters three years ago. Looking forward to it.

  164. Hmm worst Valentine story? I don’t really have one, but my Husband would say I’m a horrible Valentines person. I like decorating for it, but more than that I don’t really get into the holiday.

  165. I think the worst Valentines day I’ve had was when I went out with a guy I had only been on one date with. A very uncomfortable way to spend Valentines Day.
One of my best was last year when we had a fancy dinner at home with the kids and we had chocolate souffles. It was just fun to celebrate as a family.

    petra(at)mttaborpark(dot)com

  166. Thanks for the lovely giveaways! My boyfriend (years ago) gave me a tacobell card good for one free soda. I never used it – still have it – and I am married to him that guy now! lol

  167. My best Valentine’s day was my first with my (now) husband. He gave me a bouquet of 24 roses but none of them were real.. for ex. one was chocolate, one was a bottle of perfume, one had a little bear hugging the stem, one was something naughty lol. It was awesome because I know he spent a long time picking out 24 different ones, and I still have most of them put away!

  168. what a great giveaway!! we usually dont do a big valentines day but last year my husband brought me some beautiful flowers & that was really special to me!

    [email protected]

  169. My hubby is a college prof, and one V-day I filled out an entire box of kid Valentines for him, addressed them all to him, then snuck into his office and put them all over the place. His first student remarked, “I hope I marry someone like that someday,” and I knew I had done well! ๐Ÿ™‚

    addyforrest(at)gmail(dot)com

  170. Once I was on a date on V-Day and the guy drove the wrong way on a one-way street. A cop then pulled him over and gave him a hard time! Poor guy!

  171. One year I let my husband pick the dessert at our valentines dinner, thinking he would pick the chocolate cake or creme brulee. No, he picked strawberries and whipped cream. Lame. I was to embarrassed to say something in front of the waiter. I didn’t wan to look like a fat pig. I was mad all night because I really wanted the chocolate cake not strawberries- we had those at home.
I hope I win- these are all fabulous prizes.

  172. The only V-Day gift from my husband I can remember is the first year we were together. We were living in separate parts of the country and he sent a rose bush type plant to me. There was a ship on the white glass planter. I killed it!

Valentines Day is not a big deal deal to us. He really does show me he loves me in one way or another everyday and that is what is important!

    annedemps(at)hotmail(dot)com

  173. No adventures for me good or bad.

  174. Oooh! So, so much great stuff to LOVE. (Get it? Love? Heh heh…)

As for Valentine’s Day experiences, I’d say one of our sweetest (or at least the one I always think of first) was our first Valentine’s together as a married couple. We didn’t have a lot of money to go out somewhere (and maybe it was a Sunday anyway? I don’t remember) so we just stayed home. My husband cooked dinner from what we had on hand which mostly consisted of some potatoes. But he used a cookie cutter and cut them into sweet little heart shapes! ๐Ÿ™‚ Melts my heart. I don’t think a restaurant could ever beat that.

Thanks for all the fun posts this week!

    kathleenann08(at)gmail(dot)com

  175. Probably my fondest memory for Valentines is when my now husband and I shared our first kiss out on a pier. Flowers..yes! He is a rose grower, so I always get the pick of the crop!
I am a new addict to your blog…very fun to dream of cute projects for my munchkins!
    leanne_bruining(at)hotmail(dot)com

  176. I don’t even know how to work my worst Valentines. An ex-boyfriend (who would become my ex-husband years later) bought me the most gorgeous roses I’d ever received in my life. We didn’t go to the same college, and I was visiting his campus. I’d chosen not to spend V-Day with him, but he got them to me any way. I couldn’t keep them because I was in a different state, I don’t know what happened to them. The guy I did go out with turned out to be a jerk. All he wanted to do was smoke pot. Um. No.

  177. My best Valentines day experience would be back from when I was single and planned a big valentine’s scavenger hunt, picnic dinner and gift exchange for me and my likewise single friends. It was such a great night ๐Ÿ™‚

    [email protected]

  178. LOVE all the giveaway items! My WORST Valentine’s Day experience happened thanks to the guy I was dating prior to meeting my husband. I spent all day making the most darling, perfect Valentine’s Day cookies and a construction paper card a la elementary school, and he dumped me that night when I went to drop them off. In hindsight, he wasn’t my Mr. Right, so it all worked out. A big red flag was the fact that he tagged along with his parents on their V-day date, instead of hanging out with me.

    Oh yeah, [email protected] ๐Ÿ˜€

  179. This is a great giveaway! ๐Ÿ™‚
Both best and worst Valentines Day – Last year I was about on the verge of having a baby on valentines day. While I wasn’t in labor (yet) I was feeling completely miserable and having braxton hicks contractions ALL that weekend. On top of that I had a ton of homework that I had to do, and a (then) 8 year old that was dying for attention. My mom wanted me to help her sew dance costumes (her business) because she was a little behind. All I wanted to do was sleep! I was just miserable. hahahaha 5 days later the baby was out though!

  180. My best experience was the year my girl friends and I turned Valentines Day into a girls night with dinner and everything. Their boyfriends got them the next night ๐Ÿ™‚

    lindsay.forgette at gmail dot com

  181. What a great giveaway, and THANK YOU for making it a one comment to enter!!!!

We don’t do much for V-Day, but a gift card for fabric would make it nice. Winning this would make it the best one yet!

    Thanks.

    Heather

  182. OOps, forgot my email. darbiet(at)gmail(dot)com

  183. I honestly can’t think of a best or a worst so I am not sure if that is a good thing or not.:) This year we are combining all holidays into one trip to Aruba for our close friends sons wedding so this one might be considered the best!
    fkmtj(at)comcast(dot)net

  184. My best memories are the ones from the cards my children made for me when they were young – I have saved all of them – great memories.

  185. My birthday is the day after valentines day, so I have always had the two days lumped together and always figured who ever I married would too.
Too my surprise, the man I married lets each day be celebrated on its own. My best valentine days have been with him.jilliebyn(at)gmail(dot)com

  186. Best Valentine’s Day Gift was when my husband (then fiance) made me a chocolate cake in the shape of a heart and edited my fav movie for me so I could watch it without the bad parts ๐Ÿ™‚

    my_butterfly81(at)hotmail(dot)com

  187. I love Valentine’s day and always try to make it special for my husband and our girls. Best gift was an organizer for my thread that my husband helped my girls decorate with stickers. I still use it. kimikae at surewest.net

  188. Oh, I would love any of those gifts, thanks so much for a chance to win! My best Valentines Day was my first as a married couple, my husband showed up with a huge bouquet of roses. It just made me smile! ๐Ÿ™‚

  189. our best valentines day was the one when we stopped getting in a pickle by trying to surprise each other and started going out together to get a shared present… that was about eight years ago, we have some lovely books/pictures to show for it. This year we’re wondering if kitchenware is romantic enough? (the wedding presents are wearing out a bit by now!)

runcibles (dot) lake (at) gmail (dot) com

  190. I used to hate Valentines Day, but now that I’m married I love it. My best present was last year when my husband surprised me with a serger that he picked out himself. I love it!

  191. I remember one year I was really sick with the flu and pregnant for Valentine’s Day. My husband brought home Kneaders and chocolate dipped strawberries. It was so sweet of him and totally made my day. ๐Ÿ™‚

    [email protected]

  192. Well we don’t normally do Valentines Day in our house! However it seems I got a little early Valentines gift this year in the shape of an iphone with the message ‘Just for being you..’ ain’t that sweet. SO I guess this year ahs to be the best!

    jowestfoot at hotmail.com

Wonderful giveaway, thanks for hosting it!

  193. What a great give away!

We don’t really celebrate valentines day, but my partner surprises me through the year with gorgeous bunches of flowers. It never fails to make my day.

  194. Oooh! Such wonderful goodies. One of my best Valentine’s Day gifts was from my then-boyfriend/now-husband when we were dating back as teenagers (h.s. sweethearts). I collect S&P shakers, and he gave me the sweetest Precious Moments set of a little boy and girl kissing on a tree stump. So sweet and a treasured keepsake.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  195. My favorite Valentine’s day happens every year really – I just watch movies and go out to dinner with my now-fiance. We don’t take it that seriously, but I love when he buys me flowers ๐Ÿ™‚

  196. Awesome giveaways!! I would love any of them! My worst experience was when I started dating one of my HS Boy Friends on Valentine’s Day was our first “big” kiss and it was awful, all I wanted to do was have it end…

  197. I have no big Vday story – but hopefully this year I will! My best friend is due with her first child around then and I am hoping to become an “auntie” this Vday!

And I LOVELOVELOVE Zipit! Such a great selection, and awesome customer service!

  198. My birthday is on Valentine’s Day. I think the best thing was that my dad would send me flowers or balloons to school every year!

  199. One of my favorite valentine memories, is when we were little, and my dad would door bell ditch each of us a bag full of v-day goodies.

    thanks for such fun giveaway.

  200. No worst Valentine’s Day here. Just fun little kids parties and all that hoopla. I love a good Valentine’s Day party.

  201. Thanks for all of the lovely Valentine’s ideas!
I don’t really have a good or bad Valentine’s experience or memory. But, I do still have the bear my hubby gave me on our first Valentine’s 10 years ago. Our daughter plays with it now. ๐Ÿ™‚

  202. My husband got me tulips the planted kind one year. They are my favorite flower. I have a black thumb so they died shortly after but they were very pretty while they lasted.

  203. what a great giveaway! i dont have a great valentine’s day story. i just like a lowkey day a movie and time
    with my guy

  204. Thanks for the great giveaway! Most of the gifts my husbad and I give on Valentines day are bad…considering we haven’t gotten each other anything for years! Maybe this year would be a good one to reconsider this…might be nice to do something for a change! bufordkyle(at)hotmail(dot)com

  205. I think the best valentines are the hand made cards and drawings that my grandchildren make for me. Of course that box of chocolates in a heart shaped box with silk flowers on top that I got from my first boyfriend at age 15 was pretty special at the time. I’m a new follower and have enjoyed reading your blog. Thanks for such a great give-a-way. Pam

  206. I’ve always loved Valentine’s Day! It’s my mom’s favorite holiday, so I always got something special growing up, like flowers or a box of chocolates, and she’d make cupcakes. We still always exchange gifts, usually something handmade or baked.

  207. worst valentine’s day was when the hubs kept me waiting to celebrate because he was doing the taxes…wop wop. oh well, love him anyway!

  208. hmmm, best present. I think that would have to be kids going to bed early all washed up by the husband.

    jillderosa4 @ gmail dot com

  209. Great giveaway! My hubby and I don’t really “do” valentine’s day, but an ex-boyfriend once gave me a kitchen garbage can for V-day. Hard to say if it was the worst or the best – I liked it, wanted it and used the heck out of it (one of those tall stainless covered cans) and it did have a dozen red roses inside…but he didn’t last much longer than that!

  210. a romantic weekend away dogsledding. And we came home with a puppy. The puppy I still have – eight years later. Sasly, the late husband has since passed away. But the puppy…he is my best Valentine ever. <3

  211. On our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple, my husband, who is terribly allergic to flowers, went and got me roses! He sneezed the whole way home, but I got beautiful flowers. Still love that guy! Thanks for the giveaway!

    lgiesting17(at)hotmail(dot)com

  212. Worst Valentines Day experience: Start off by getting called into work, then find out that you are working alone, during a very busy time, then have a kid throw up on you (worked with kids), then have that same childs parent tell you that it was your fault you got puked on because “you should have moved faster”. Round that off with missing the bus on the way home, so you had to walk the last 6 blocks home to find out that your apartment was flooded by a pipe that broke in your kitchen while you were busy being vomitted on at work. Yep, it sucked, but the good news is it would take a LOT to top that one so things have always looked up since then. ๐Ÿ™‚

  213. My favorite Valentine’s tradition is my husband would make me homemade cards using inside jokes and pictures of us! He started this our first Valentine’s Day and I loved it and have since expected it every year! Also, our first Valentine’s Day while dating, 2005, we went to dinner at the restaurant we had our first date. He bought me a teddy bear holding a heart and I think he could tell I wasn’t so into it (I’m a blankie girl, not a stuffed animal girl!) but it still sits on my night stand as a reminder of his thoughtfulness!

  214. I have to say the most interesting and best Valentines Day gift I ever got is my baby girl, Charlee. She was born the 15th…so actual Valentines day was interesting with contractions and such. Thanks for the chance to win.

  215. One of my favorite Valentine’s was in high school. I was staying with some close friends and they had balloons & treats at each chair at the breakfast table. It was super special for an awkward teenage girl on Valentine’s Day!

  216. Oooh. I absolutely LOVE this give-a-way!!!! I love all these things and one little comment gets me entered for ALL of them! Thank you!

I’m gonna to see into the future ๐Ÿ™‚ and say that this coming Valentines will be the best for I have tickets to Mary Popping at the Boston Opera House.

    Happy Valentines Day!

  217. Oh my gosh, I love all those zippers! They come in so many colors!
Best? Being 15, I haven’t had the best valentines day yet. But… when I was nine, this boy had a huge crush on me. Unfortunately he was… a bit ugly. So when the boy presented me with this handmade valentine, my nine year old self decided it was a good idea to hit him. I gave him a black eye that year… I don’t think he’s talked to me since!

  218. Usually my hubby and I don’t make a big deal of Valentine’s Day, but the last three years, he over Valentine’s weekend, we visit with our friends so he can go sturgeon fishing (I know – YUCK!)and I get to go shopping. The day is ended by a wonderful meal out. I think this is definitely a win-win for both of us! Thanks for the give away contest!

  219. 13 years ago, my now husband used Valentines day to ask me out on our first date. ๐Ÿ™‚

  220. This time of year my husband is on second shift and I am on first shift. We will only get to see each other about an hour that day. Wow, great prizes!

  221. My best valentines would be from my husband, a few years back, we were flat broke and so he hit the dollar store and bought me some of the “kiddie” valentines cards and thought he’d be romantic and write poetry on each little one.
Okay, so after writing 20 or so, out of the box of 40, he obviously ran out of creativity because they became HILARIOUS! The most memorable one stated “I can’t rhyme anymore but I still love you”
I cherished the ones showing the creative exhaustion more than the poetry! It was the best because he put so much effort into it but the worst because we were sooooo broke and I didn’t get him anything.:-(

  222. So many comments already! I hope I can win a giveaway!
My best valentines day memory is my first valentine in the states, when I was in 1st grade, I got a lot of candy at elementary school, and had a lot of fun ๐Ÿ™‚
We don’t have valentines day where i come from.

  223. The past few years, the children and I have prepared a Valentine’s Feast to share with Daddy when he comes home from work. It is a special time and we always enjoy sharing extra “I Love You” notes through out the day.

  224. This looks like a great giveaway! My Valentine’s story: when I was a teller at a bank, on Valentine’s Day ALL the other tellers and the branch manager got a dozen red roses delivered to them from their spouses or boyfriends. My husband gave me mine at home, before I went to work. I felt so left out! But it’s the thought that counts, right??? sagedamask[at}gmail{dot}com

  225. Valentines has never been much of an ado around here. I only met my (now) husband 2 1/2 years ago and he’s more of a forgetter than a rememberer.
    But I can always hope!

  226. Fun fun giveways!! My favorite Valentines day memory… probably when my boyfriend (now husband) took me on a canoe ride (~30 min) through the Seattle ship canal to a beach on the Puget Sound where he had thoughtfully already rowed out a picnic basket full of wine and cheese from Pike Place Market… So romantical… so DELICIOUS too ๐Ÿ™‚ And I thought we were just out for some exercise!

  227. Love this- what great prizes.

  238. My husband and I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day so the one year he stopped at the grocery store on his way home from work and picked up a bag of Oreos and a gallon of milk it was a huge surprise and very thoughtful. Oreos are my idea of romance!! Thanks for the chance to win the awesome giveaways.

  239. Last year was my best Valentine’s day – celebrating with my new son!

  242. Ok, that necklace is adorable! It may have to be my Valentines Day gift this year ๐Ÿ˜‰

My worst Valentines Day would have to be when my husband and I were first dating, I was only 16 at the time. I broke phone curfew and was grounded on Valentines day but my boyfriend (now husband) showed up at my house with roses, chocolates and a teddy bear anyway. My mom slammed the door in his face… I got my valentines gift the next day when I was no longer grounded. We’ve been married for over ten years now and have three beautiful children. That valentines day is one of the few that stand out as special, so I guess it wasn’t really bad after all ๐Ÿ™‚

  243. What a wonderful giveaway!!

My best Valentine Day was when my boyfriend (now hubby) officially became my boyfriend. This was sophomore year in high school 1976. We dated 6 years before getting married and last month celebrated our 29 year anniversary.

  244. My favorite valentine’s gift came from my husband before we were married. He cut a wood piece into a heart shape, painted it, and wrote a love note on the back. I still have it hanging up!

  245. I think my last great Valentines was when all 3 of my chilren lived at home. Thanks for the chance.

  246. Hey! Thanks for the giveaway!
My best valentines have been since my children have been old enough to make them for my husband and i themselves, so sweet and from their hearts. We don’t make a big fuss between my husband and I, so these little gifts of love are so special!

  247. I never loved Valentine’s Day, maybe because I wasn’t very popular as a teen… :s Anyway, didn’t get to celebrate it at all. And now, when I do have a sweetheart, it feels weird to celebrate. We love each other every day.

  251. Oh and I forgot to mention my best Valentine’s day experience. The first year my husband and I were married we really didn’t have much money (still don’t, ha!) I worked all day on Valentines Day and figured there wouldn’t be much waiting for me at home. But to my surprise he had cleaned the house, made a wonderful dinner, had flowers, wrote me a song and gave me a card. It’s the simple things that are the most memorable. ๐Ÿ™‚

  252. LOVE your blog–such great ideas!!

My least favorite Valentine’s moment was when my husband (we were dating at the time) showed up late to have breakfast with me and then left right after to go ice fishing with the guys!!…boys will be boys….

I’m new to the blog world. Check me out if you have a chance please!! And let me know what you think!! http://craftinginprogress.blogspot.com/

  254. Best valentines were the ones we got from my parents as kids. we always got a pair of flip flops in hopes of spring coming back!
    eringustafson (at) live (dot) com

  255. My best Valentine’s day was the first one after my son was born. I dropped him off at my mom’s (GaGa) house and headed off to work. About an hour after I got there, GaGa showed up at my work with my son all dressed up in a Valentine’s Day shirt and some red jammie pants she’d made him with a small pink heart pillow that said “Be Mine”. Even though he was only 9 months old, he knew he was doing something special and gave me big hugs and kisses. The best day ever! Thanks Momma! ๐Ÿ™‚

  256. I dont really celebrate the V Day, as its my birthday too. But the best day I had was on my 19th Birthday when I got very very very very drunk, fell asleep on my friends bathroom floor, my mum had to come and get me and walked me home wearing my friends flip flops (2 sizes too small) and a baggy jumper ( on top of what was a very nice party dress!! ). Good times!!!

  257. Things used to be so romantic with my hubby for kids, but haven’t received anything since my oldest was born 8 years ago (well, I told him not to get me anything…), but I love making valentines cupcakes & decorating cards with my girls.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  258. Awesome giveaway! My first official Valentine’s day where I had a date was quite interesting. I think I was 17 and a guy friend and I went to a movie. Halfway through I ran to the bathroom and got sick. Next time I wasn’t so lucky, and let’s just say the movie staff was probably not too pleased with me. I ended up having the flu for two days. Eek! Definitely one to remember! ๐Ÿ™‚

  260. Valentines Day is so much fun….I’d have to say my best Valentines Day experiences have been since my son got old enough to make Valentines Day cards with. It’s so cute to see him be creative!

  261. My husband is not a celebration type so there is not a memorable day.

  262. Okay….the V-Day mishap also happens to be my most embarrassing moment EVER!!
My husband and I worked at a boarding school for troubled teens. We were houseparents to 9 teenage boys.
For V-day, I always send my husband funny, “suggestive” cards every day for the week before V-day saving the best one for the 14th. Since we were living and working at the same place, this year I was hiding them in places I knew he would come across each day. For V-day, I had my best, funniest card…on the front it had a semi-nude cartoon guy doing a muscle pose and it read…”Hunny, I don’t mind that you don’t have the body of a Greek god”….then on the inside it had a picture of a one of the Greek statues and it read…”because all the Greek gods I have seen have had their winkie broken off”! Hilarious, right?! Then I wrote, “I love you and I love your winkie too. Happy Valentines Day”
I knew he would be in the boys dorm after the kids left for school so I laid the card where he would find it. And he did find it and laughed pretty hard…said that card was a good find and went about his day as normal.
After dinner that night, I had made a special dessert for the boys and as we were eating, little bits of their conversations started to perk my hearing…one of the boys mentioned his awesome body and another mentioned Greek gods and a couple other “veiled” remarks….I was started in wonder if they had seen my card but knew that my husband had found it already…..then one of the boys mentioned…”I received an interesting Valentine’s Day card today….found it on my bed” Right then…I KNEW…Yep, Zac had set it down on one of the boys beds to move something else and forgot to pick it up before he left. I wanted to crawl under the table soooo badly….the boys had passed the card around for everyone to read…….oh man!!

Love your blog and hope you have a Wonderful Valentines Day….may you never experience something so tragically funny and humiliating all at the same time!!
    kellieblossom at gmail dot com

  263. What a lovely giveaway! I am not a very romantic person but my husband is, lucky me ๐Ÿ™‚ I remember our first Valentine’s day and he was going away for a few months. He gave me a planted flower (which in itself is not very romantic, I know) because he wanted me to remember him by looking at the flower pot every day he was gone.

  264. It’s a good thing I don’t have to pick one prize, because I’m not sure which one I would pick! Probably my worst valentine’s experience was one time when I was in elementary school. I woke up and found a box of chocolates by my backpack and thought they were from my parents. Of course, I dug in right away. And then I found out they were for my sister to take to school for an exchange. Not only did I not get any candy from my parents, but I left like an idiot. (And my sister had to take an already-opened box of chocolate to her party. Hope no one noticed.) alisharusher at gmail

  265. We don’t do Valentines day in Australia like the US but I do remember my first boyfriend surprising me with flowers on the steps to my house after making out he had forgotten โ™ฅ

  266. My worst Valentine’s is every year when I’m disappointed my guy doesn’t do anything for me ๐Ÿ™ Maybe this year?

  267. I was able to spend Valentine’s day with my husband who came home early from Iraq several years ago – awesome!

  268. We don’t really do much for Valentine’s Day. We mostly find things fun and silly for the kids.

    rsisland at hotmail dot com

  269. I think the best present was the flowers my hub sent me the first year we were married. He sent it to my work, which was very nice, but at the same time, very hard to find, because it went to receiving, which then I found out that we couldn’t really receiving personal things at work! It was a bit embarrasing, but it was really awesome to be able to carry it back to my desk, which is a very long walk.

  270. My husband travels for work and in the past 6 years that we have been married I don’t think we have spent 1 valentines day together. Again this year he leaves on valentines day!
