This should apparently be called her party dress since she seems to be having the time of her life in these shots!

Miss C loves to goof off during shoots, she shakes her booty for me at least twice per shoot.

Cute, but not going on the blog, dear.

Anyways…I sewed up this dress quite a few weeks ago, around the time I sewed up these tops, and never posted it for some reason.

I think I lost the photos in the depths of Lightroom, but I unearthed them so I could share because didn’t you just swoon at that fabric!?

Just me? I know that’s not true…fess up. ๐Ÿ˜‰

It’s this amazing knit from Denver Fabrics, I think (can’t find the exact one) and I LOVE it…so much that I made a maxi skirt for myself.

Not intending to match on purpose, but Charlotte loves it, so at least she’s not embarrassed by me-YET.

I used the Pretty in Peplum pattern obvs, in a size 5-perfect fit with some room for her to grow up! In fact, Sadie and C could swap dresses.

They are just about in the same size clothes right now, only Sadie is 4-5″ taller.

Werking it, girl!

durn facing. It stays put pretty well, just not through the shenanigans Charlotte put this dress through.
ALso I love seeing the strawberry part of her strawberry blond come through in these pics!

OMG! I love seeing photos of your daughter… She is adorable and plays the camera well!! Out of curiosity, do you tell how to pose or does she do it as she pleases??!! Precious!

  3. Oh Jess, that fabric is so awesome! I made matching floral skirts for Lola and I, and she hasn’t decided it’s a problem yet, so I’m gonna ride that train as long as I can! Charlotte is so adorable – I’m jealous of her hair color!

  4. I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoy seeing your posts. I look forward to each one! Your’s is one of my favorite blogs. I have two little girls of my own, a four and two year old. Each time you post something you have made for them it inspires me to try. Your little girls are adorable! I’ve learned a lot from reading your blog over the past few years. Thank you for sharing all the creations!

  5. HAHA! I love her moves, what a cutie. She really looks like she’s having fun up there! Adorable dress too. I want to see you two in a photo together as “matching twins!” ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. My favorite color combo! I think navy and coral/peach/orange is so fresh! Lovely little peplum too. Thanks for the inspiration! ๐Ÿ™‚ jen @ http://www.satsumadesigns.com

  7. She is such a cutie! Love the dress, and the way it brings out her hair color.

  8. That is such an adorable dress. It almost looks like a twin set suit with jacket and skirt and the pencil skirt makes it kind of office wear for a little kid. I hope that doesn’t sound negative. I think it’s absolutely delightful! As always you have the best little models there are!
