Sew Classic clothes for girls

I am so thrilled for my good friend Lindsay and her amazing new book, Sew Classic Clothes for Girls! (<–affiliate link) She’s been a blog pal since we both were in the very first season of Project Run and Play together, and I admire her so much! She has worked so hard on her book,  and it shows. It is nothing less than lovely, charming, thoroughly useful, and awesome. (so many adjectives! but so true!) From the moment you open the front cover you are greeted by adorable pictures, fabric pairings, and cute little girls modeling her creations!

It includes 20+ girly patterns, including dresses, coats, shorts, tops, and accessories. A lot of them can be mixed and matched together-I love that aspect! It comes with a CD that has all the patterns on it-so handy and easy to store. (for sizes 12 months – size 10)

Oh, and her “getting started” section has some amazing tips about general sewing, fabric selection, and your basic sewing tools, not to mention all the tips throughout the book that are so helpful and well written.

It truly is a gorgeous book and I can’t wait to dig in and make something. I think it will definitely have to be this coat!

Oh my goodness! I am having a sleepless night so I started browsing Pintrest which led me to your website! Absolutely love it. I sew for my grandchildren as well as for a charity called Dress a Girl around the World and am always looking for quick easy ideas to make the dresses I make a little cuter. I love your tutorial for the flour sack dress, which was the pin that led me here. I wore flour sack dresses as a little girl. I remember vividly my mother and grandma saving flour sacks both for dresses and aprons. As soon as a sack of flour came home my sisters and I would dream of the dress that would come from it, or them. Grandma and Mother would buy flour in sacks that were the same so there would be enough fabric for our dresses.
I am also excited about your friends book. If I am not the lucky winner, I will definitely buy it.
    I will be back 🙂

  7. I own this book, and it is wonderful! The instructions are clear and the photography is beautiful. Every detail is stunning. This is one talented pattern designer!
