silhouette stuff

Sooo…as you can see, I’ve been busy with my Silhouette making Christmasy things! Big surprise there, huh? Here are some of the things I’ve made withΒ  my new BMF (best machine friend)

I made this reindeer pillow cover using the heat transfer material. Can I just say how much I love reindeer? I want them on everything this year. It’s borderline creepy.

Next: I cut out these snowflake tags for neighbor/friend goody boxes.

They were so easy (well, duh)-and I just used some spray adhesive to glue the white and red parts together-waste not, want not.

Just had to sneak this pic of Charliloo in there…oh and she’s wearing another Silhouette heat transfer creation. So fun and easy to customize. Love my BMF.

and here are some paper tags for those ornaments I made.
And last, but certainly not least, I cut out this vinyl nativity, painted a spare piece of wood, and stuck it on. I dug out this easel I’ve had forever, and it fit perfectly! Love it!

So, are you sold? I am, I love this thing!

  1. niiice! wow, you can do a ton of stuff with that machine. of course being you, of course you can make a ton!

  2. Why oh why are those machines so hard to find…I want to see one in action before I buy, but alas, I will have to order online because Calgary hasn’t caught onto them yet. BIG Cricut city here.

Love what you’ve done with your BMF…especially the baby-what a cutie (I guess that one was done with your Best male friend eh?)

  3. I am!!! I want one but I’m having a hard time justifying the purchase of one for myself πŸ™‚

  4. Since I’m poor and have no extra money to spend I convinced my mom to buy one. lol We found a awesome deal on scrapbooksteals.com a while back. I currently have it but haven’t played around with it too much. I’m still not quite sure how to use it. There are so many things it can do! I really am loving the heat transfer material though.

  5. I use freezer paper in my BMF (my cricut machine) to make stencils to paint on shirts and things using the freezer paper technique. It works great! I’m sure it would work with your silhouette as well.

  6. Those are awesome! I especially love her shirt! πŸ™‚

Is this machine similar to a cricuit?

  7. so very cool. I ordered one for me from my husband for Christmas πŸ™‚ (he’s on a business trip that was supposed to be over 2 weeks ago, now he’s “supposed” to be home by Christmas Eve. That’s my justification.)
Anyway, it’s fun to see some of the things I’ll be capable of soon! Keep making stuff and posting it just for me, kay?

  8. I am in LOVE with the starburst onesie! I want a silhouette just so I can make that!
P.S. So glad you added the “M” for BMF. I was about to get angry >:|

  9. I am in love with what the silhouette can do! Can’t find one in Canada, so my hubby broke down and finally ordered one from the states for me (Merry Christmas to me!). I can’t wait!

  10. Super awesome. Everything looks amazing. But I’m especially loving the reindeer pillow. Oooh! πŸ™‚

  11. Very cute creations Jess! Charlotte is darling in her starburst onsie!

  12. Omg… I made snowflake pillow covers last week (that look like a felt version of your reindeer one) and it took me like 4 hours to cut out the intricate snowflakes. I was kicking myself because I knew my (shhh silhouette) Christmas present was sitting in my husband’s closet. (I saw it come in the mail, I swear I didn’t peak!)
so thanks for getting me excited! Woo!

  13. I don’t know if you have blogged about it before, but did you make Charlotte’s quilt? I LOVE the colors, so beautiful and simple.

  14. you are making me want one!

  15. Oh my goodness, I love Charlotte’s onesie! And the reindeer pillow is fantastic. I’ve been trying to avoid Silhouette mania because I want a serger, but I can feel myself getting caught up in it!

  16. Bee-I did make the quilt! Originally for Sadie-now used by everybody-including me. πŸ™‚ I blogged about it here:

That little baby girl is super adorable, too! Happy Holidays!!

  20. LOVE everything. Oh how I want one. You are one rockin chick. Way to put that new machine to good use.

PS do I need to get you two a BMF charm bracelet????

  21. I’m jealous, I want one so bad!!

  23. Where did you find this image of the nativity? I have been looking all over for it. Can you send it to me. I am not using this to sell. I am making a church project for our youth. Please help me if you can.

  24. @Deanne Brown-I found the Nativity scene in the Silhouette library-hope this helps, thanks!
