stockings!

I have been so excited to show you the stockings I made for us! I told myself I would make them before Christmas this year….last year. So, I made my deadline, but barely. Oh well! Without further ado…our stockings!
I used Anna’s tutorial-and love how they turned out! I did cut my accent piece of fabric 1.25″ instead of 2 and adjusted it as needed. That’s the only change. I chose a simple font to embroider the names-Castorgate.

I just love the fabrics…

Home Dec fabric from Joann’s…sorry don’t have the selvage anymore!

I LOOVE the ribbon I picked out-some candy cane striped grosgrain. Purchased here.
I am still trying to figure out my Christmas decorating style.  These stockings are a step in the right direction…wish me luck!

  13. I absolutely love those! Fabric choices and everything. I want an exact set with our names on them, but seriously no time to make them. I’ll be lucky if I get one of the Christmas crafts done this year that I also promised myself last year I would have done this time. Oy.

  14. I’m in the process of figuring out my Christmas decorating style too. I have a feeling I’ll be making and re-making a lot through the years. I was planning on making these stockings from Anna’s tutorial this weekend. Yours look great!

  15. Love these! I have 3 stockings for my kids and I want matching ones for hubby and I, and future kids but can’t find them since I bought them 2 years ago. I wish I could sew so I could make some for us and make matching ones in the future if needed.

  17. These are great! We don’t have stockings yet and Anna’s pattern is on the top of my list after I finish making Christmas presents for my sister in law, sisters, and dad. 🙂 (I have actually finished four other gifts, which is pretty good for me)

  34. SO how did you embroider using that font? I love it!! ADVICE? PLEASE?????

  35. I have the very same question as Jeannie above–I too found a font I would love to use, but when I print the name I want to embroider, how do I transfer it from paper to the fabric I want to embroider?
