kraken dress

It was high time my kraken got a kraken dress, right? The second I saw the cotton & steel octopi fabric, I knew it was meant to be. I'm kind of a creature of ease-if I have a pattern cut out on my table already, more often than not I'll just use it again. So this is the same tute I used for this dress...it worked with the one yard of … [Read more...]

toddler backpack

We are taking a plane trip this summer out to Utah for a family reunion and I've been gathering things for the girls to carry in their backpacks-the older two at least. I figured I'd carry Ava's stuff...but the second she saw that they were getting backpacks...well you know the drill. She insisted on one of her own. I could barely find a backpack … [Read more...]

glass onion floral top

the second I saw Shauna's new adorable pattern in my feed, I knew I had to make one! (or more..we'll see ;) She graciously sent over the pattern, and I cut out one for Ava-I thought she could use a new top and the blog was a little Ava-dry lately anyways. lol. Then it sat on my cutting table while I had a little sewing dry spell. Wasn't in the … [Read more...]

flutter sleeve dresses

So Ava needs some new dresses-the hand me downs she has are either getting small, kinda worn out since they've been through two girls already, or, I'm sick of looking at them. haha! probably more of the latter going on if I'm being honest. Who doesn't like something fresh and new to wear once in awhile? It's good for ya. So I wanted to make … [Read more...]

little deer first birthday party

Our "deer" little Ava is turning one! Yikesabee. I cannot believe it. Literally. We love our little girl so, so much. SOBSOB my baby is growing up! … [Read more...]

a bit random…

Just wanted to pop in today and share a few quick pics! I finished Charlotte's quilt top! WOohoo! So here's a sneaky peek. This was a beast. Each block took about 15-20 minutes (I timed them yes-I'm-a-nerd), so the blocks themselves took me 9-11 hours of back-breaking sewing. Ok maybe that's a little dramatic. But each little square is 2.5 inches, … [Read more...]
