 baby boy baprons

Baby boy needed some Baprons of course…so I whipped a few up the other day! I was running low on bias tape (boyish colors at least, I have a LOT of pink lol), so I scrounged up some navy, cream and homemade grey to pair with the checks, Star Wars, and airplane/copter blueprint fabrics!

They came together in just a quick afternoon, I love how fast the Bapron is to make! Perfect for baby shower gifts.

  1. Aww! They are so cute!!! I think I may have to buy this pattern from you!

  2. I love that blueprint and grey one! But they are all cute. =)

  3. I love your Baprons, so cute and practical! Great fabric choices too I love the blueprint one ♥

  4. Adorable !!!! I wish I had the energy when my little was tiny so I would have made these.

  5. Thank you for this charming and oh so little boy Bapron! I’m always looking for something for all of the “little men” in our family.

  6. Baprons! These might motivate me to dust off my sewing machine.

  7. Yay! Love seeing baby boy sewing from you!! 🙂

  8. How cute is this … and functional as well. I just purchased this pattern and hope to be able to use some of the basketful of fabric my sister-in-law gave me that she had won (I’m a sewer, she’s not, lol) !!! Can’t wait to try it.

  9. I’m so excited to see what sewing projects you come up with for your little guy! You’ve inspired me to make so many projects for the little girls in my life (nieces, goddaughter, friends etc.) but I struggle with ideas and quick projects for my own son!

  10. These bibs look great. I ended up making very similar ones for my son as they find it too easy to pull off the velcro or elastic ones.

Why does the pattern say free and when you go into the site it wants you to buy it. False advertising.

    • It used to be offered for free for a time and now it is for sale, obviously I can’t control who pinned an old image of the bapron or put whatever information in the tagline. Sorry

I was thrilled with this pattern. Didn’t mind one bit to pay for it. It is so darling!! I know of two grandmothers with newborn girls. Can’t wait to make them and gift them to my granny friends!! I have been making adult bibs for some time now. I got so tired of spot cleaning my blouses–I even take them to restaurants. People don’t even bat an eye at seeing them. Some even ask where they can buy them. The pattern is a Simplicity; I use two layers of fabric and sandwich a layer of thin quilt batting in between. I sew them with right sides together and then turn. No bias tape needed for these. They are soft and not bulky at all. But the bias tape on on the baprons really set them off. This is truly a unique pattern; thank you so much for sharing.

  13. I’m ttrying to purchase the pattern but it says error page not available. Do you have any advise?

  14. Hi,

I am trying to buy the pattern for the Babron, but I cannot get the link to work. Could you please send me the link to purchase?

Thank you so much. I have a 7.5 month old who is starting to get messy trying solids, and I shared the photo with a god friend who loves to sew and she asked me to buy the pattern so she could make it fit him…
