shabby chic your tp dispenser-a tutorial

Ever sat there thinking….my toilet paper dispenser sure is boring-looking? I have. The other day I decided to DO something about it rather than sit around wishing it were prettier. So I grabbed a plain wooden one from the hardware store, tore some strips of fabric, grabbed some embellishments. and my glue gun, and went to town! I LOOOVE how it turned out! The fabric strips are so adorable in their ragged edges-so shabby chic, right? RIGHT?!

Here’s how I did it, cause I know you are dying to make one too!

Tie strips around your TP dispensers-both sides! Glue in place if needed, then embellish the top if you like! It needed a little somethin’, so I added a flower…cause more is always better, right? Especially in the case of TP decorations. Whatcha think?

I am totally going to do that with some rustic corncobs I’ve got. Thanks for the tip!

  8. Hilarious!!

  9. I think if it only had rhinestones it would be perfect for my master bath!! What’s a little embarrassing is I actually did hot glue fabric on a detergent bucket for a decorated trash can…but it wasn’t April Fools and I still use it. πŸ™‚

  10. Brilliant and hilarious. I was just thinking my husband would definitely walk if I started “crafting” the loo roll holder, then I saw the April 1st tag. Well done. Had me.

  11. Soooo glad; I was beginning to wonder! LoL… Wish I had seen this on Monday… I would have passed your addie to my DD’s.
