KCWC wrap up

Β KCWC wrap up time! Here are all the pieces I made, minus Charlotte’s ruffle top, which somehow escaped the washi tape line up. Do you like how much tape it took to keep that coral skirt up? Apparently that was the heaviest garment I sewed last week. πŸ˜‰ So…the final count is 14…although I did make 3 more pieces for a guest post going up in a few days. Call me Nutso McGee. (or something equally weird…?) I lucked out and my kids took great naps last week, plus Sadie and Charlotte had a blast “helping” me pick out fabrics and the like. Plus I stuck to easy items like tees and simple leggings, shorts, skirts, and only one dress. I think that’s the way to do Kids Clothes Week-stick mostly to things you’ve already made, or reliable patterns, and sew them up production line style. (Like Jill did, holy COW!)

I tried to make some of the items mix and matchable, so it was fun to play “make anΒ  outfit” when it was all said and done.

This one is my fave, probably because I wish I could wear it myself….also the cardi is a teeny sneak peek at my upcoming guest post. (and a tutorial in the works)

What’d you make for Kids Clothes Week?

  13. Oh, to live in a world where I could make 14 pieces of clothing in one week. Not my reality, so I’m really impressed by yours! I had a lot of fun participating and was really excited to complete a few things for my children over the last few weeks. KCW was such a good reminder of how much I enjoy sewing! Your clothes are super cute!

  14. Everything is adorable! I’m going to have my third daughter in October. I wanted to buy some knit from Girl Charlee, do you prewash yours? Also do you use a special needle when sewing knit? Thanks!

  23. You have GORGEOUS taste and style! And now I need to know where you buy your fabric! Sadly, I live in a part of the country (southwest Florida) where cute fabric is really, really hard to come by. Any online recommendations? I LOVE the fabrics you picked. So cute! I’m jealous that I can’t seem to find very much time to sew with four little ones running around. How on earth do you do it???
    Thanks for the inspiration!
