KCWC: family reunion top and go to leggings

I kicked off Kids Clothes Week a little early and finished up this top on Sunday…then the leggings today! I had just enough left from making this top (from Girl Charlee: use the code Crafty10 for 10% off your purchase) to sew up the capri-length leggings. I used the Go To Leggings pattern (affiliate link) and I love it! The fit is just about perfect, and the way Andrea does her elastic waistbands is so professional-looking. I added some ruching on the bottom but apparently I suck at ruching so you can’t tell. merp.

The top I made using the Family Reunion pattern from Oliver and S. I say it every time, but I adore their patterns. They always fit perfectly, are classic with fun details, and you come out with a beautiful garment, inside and out. This one I have had cut out for awhile…(I was afraid of the pleats for some strange reason), but now that I finally made it I have no idea what had me so scared. (wuss!) I made this in some gorgeous aqua shot cotton, sorry no details I have no idea where I got it. :}

I LOVE the buttons down the back-so did Sadie. Buttons from Joanns I think.

Most of my sewing if not all this week is going to be for Sadie…that’s just how it goes, right? The oldest gets the new stuff most of the time…

  11. LOVE the top. I would rock that if it was my size ๐Ÿ™‚ In our house my youngest usually gets the outfits I make since my oldest wears a uniform to school. Maybe a summer wardrobe is in order.
