KCWC: leggings and raglan top

I actually started a little early on KCWC-on Saturday a good friend came over to learn how to make leggings for her little girl, and after we made a pair with this heart fabric I had to make some of my own with the leftover fabric.  (once you’ve made a few they don’t take much time at all…or assembly line them out! p.s. thanks Greta for the fabric!) I made some for Miss C too, but a miscalculation on the length made them unwearable for now. Maybe next spring she’ll be tall enough? oh well.

p.s. do you like Sadie’s hip pop? She is so into “posing” really dramatically right now, it’s kind of hilarious. here’s another one where she looks like she’s about to fall over. (also, Charlotte’s baggy pair of leggings)

I also sewed up a raglan top for Sadie out of a thrifted tee and some white rib knit. It was seriously so quick to make on my serger! I wish I had a boy because this is pretty much all he would wear.

I finished a new dress today for Charlotte…hopefully I’ll have some good shots to share with you tomorrow!

Are you doing the KCWC? What’s on your list?

  3. Thank you so much for this post. I want to let you know that I posted a link to your blog in Creative Busy Bee Craft Inspirations, under the Page 2 post on Oct. 08, 2012. Thanks again.

  4. That pose is fabulous! Go Sadie!!! Lol

Very cute as always, but Sadie is stealing the show! HA

  5. oh gosh, so adorable!!! love those little leggings. 🙂

  6. so cute! the fabric is perfect.

  7. I’m going to join along, but am using it as incentive to sew some of the projects for our new bebe (due in Dec)not necessarily clothes. Tonight, I’m planning to work on the DIY soft carrier. Also on the agenda for the week: some baby hats, new bibs, adding embellishment to the coming home outfit, and maybe some sheets.

  8. Those leggings are super cute! And my 3-year-old niece does the same kind of posing. LOL.

  9. Ok, you need to teach me how to do a raglan top. Dylan is in need!

  10. Love it!! The leggings are adorable, and that top! I have made it with the hem (using your tutorial, of course!) but never with the band; I’ll have to try that next. I love Sadie’s poses. My eldest turns four a few months before Sadie. Now she has taught the two-year-old how to pose–can’t get a straight picture out of either one these days, it’s hilarious!
