So this skirt is just your run of the mill elastic waistband skirt-but the fabric! Guys…you gotta take a closer look….it’s made to look like a cross stitch pattern! Fabulous, right? I found this skirt at a thrift store, only it was a teeny bopper size with black elastic at the top…and quite scandalously short even for the shortest of teeny boppers….so I chopped off some inches and added a new elastic casing in….and tada!
I love the colors, so rich and pretty. Sadie and I are on the lookout for a shirt to match….or the perfect fabric to make a shirt to match. She wants red…I like the teal-she’ll win though, I’m sure. ๐
Cute! So fun lucking out at the thrift store ๐
I really should move to where you live and start shopping thrift stores there. You always find such amazing things!
The skirt is very cute. I can imagine it would look nice with all kinds of colours!
Oh I just love this!
What a find!
Very interesting fabric, great find! Red would make it pop, but it’s so hard to match reds!

Oh yes, great find! Seems like it would work with so many different tops! Anna Maria Horner has a pretty cross stitch fabric out, that might be the best bet for the rest of us that don’t have the best thrifting luck to make something like this. ๐
Ditto on the thrift store envy! Though we just moved to a new town a few weeks ago and I’m thinking (hoping) we might have better luck here.
Just love the fabric. I wish I’d find something like this at our thriftshop. For the shirts, just make both colours ๐
That is the coolest fabric ever!
That is gorgeous! I love it.

That is really great fabric! =) Much easier than doing all the cross-stitch for real. =)
This is a great find, it is really beautiful.
love love love the fabric. it’s gorgeous, perfect for a simple skirt to show off the fabulous print. I have to admit I’m pretty jealous.
