Aubrey bow dress pattern review

I’ve been a busy bee with pattern reviews-I have two more coming up that I can’t wait to show you!
Today I gotta show you the adorable Aubrey bow dress from Ruby Jean’s Closet.ย  I love the bow in the front, and the way it’s attached is genius. This dress took me about an hour to sew up-so quick, and so adorable on Miss C!

ย
I think I sewed up a size 1 for her, and the fit was just about perfect. She’s short for her age (like, she scores below the bottom for height on the charts, lol), and the length was great. Plus it’s easy to slip on with elastic in the back-bonus!

It’s the first time in awhile that I’ve wanted to make another one for Sadie-usually I get bored easily and usually move on, but this one was so easy and fast I am sure I’ll make more someday!

I used Riley Blake fabric-the blue plaid from the Hoo’s in the Forest line.

They had way too much fun digging around in the dirt-I had to distract them with Pez candies-I threw them where I wanted them to stand. Just kidding….I only do that at home…on the carpet….don’t judge. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Come back tomorrow for another pattern review from the same shop-a dress for the Sadester of course!

  1. Very pretty! I had something similar in mind for a sorbetto, using that central pleat…
Maybe I should just hurry up and have kids so I can dress them in cute clothes instead of making myself look like a toddler ๐Ÿ˜‰

Really cute! And this mama is mad for plaid, so, yeah, love it. And I had never thought of putting CANDY on the floor- I love the ‘Oooo, what did I just find?!’ shots. That innocent curiosity is precious.
