Annie dress review

Here’s the second Ruby Jean dressthe Annie dress! I offered Sadie 3 fabric choices and she liked all of them, so I chose the yellow…then she was slightly disappointed when I didn’t use the pink fabric….so point being, always choose pink I guess. I went for a few brownie points with the pink button, but I don’t think it helped much. 😉
This pattern was also very simple to make-but I love the details like the folded over bib at the top and ruching with elastic in the front that gives it some shape. It’s an excellent pattern…really easy to sew up and quick to boot. I had both the dresses cut out, and then sewed them up in just one nap time. The yellow fabric is from the Riley Blake Hoo’s in the Forest line.
So I guess these pictures tell a story…

It was reeally windy that day.
Charlotte just loves being picked up and carried around by her sister.
I should probably give up on getting them both to smile/look normal at the same time.
Check back on Friday for a Ruby Jean’s Closet pattern giveaway! There will be multiple winners!

  1. Your girls are so pretty! Apparently I should always pick pink too or Snow White. 🙂

  2. Cute, cute both the dress and the girls. And yes I remember kids and pets never show off when you want them too.

  7. holala mais pourquoi tu veux un garçon ? elles sont trop trop belles !

  8. Even though she wasn’t the most thrilled with yellow, it turned out too cute. For that age, if they are into princesses, yes choose pink.

  9. Hi Jess! My sister showed me your blog just two days ago and I have already spent several hours (!!) during baby’s nap pouring over your tutorials and trying crafts out. Your tutorials are great; super clear and easy to follow. I love the style of little girl clothes you create. I can’t wait to make a few of them for my daughter. I just don’t see how you have the time. As a mom of a 9 month old (and pregnant with #2 due end of Oct) I never seem to have the time to sew or get crafty… I guess I will have to sew during the night. I see that you often post at midnight!!! =:> Keep up the good work. It’s a joy to read your blog.

  10. Diese Seite ist wirklich gut für Babys Kleid. Ich mag alle das Kleid, es ist wirklich schön.
