You may have seen Anna‘s (twice!) and Vanessa’s versions of Figgy’s Ayashe blouse-once I saw them I HAD to get my hands on my own copy! I haven’t had a chance to make the skirt yet, but I got a blouse made the other day-and I am in love! It’s such a simple top but with quite a few ways to change it up. I love the little details like the gathering near the shoulders on the front, and the way it’s finished on the inside is quite brilliant. Although honestly I couldn’t figure out the collar instructions so I winged it. (there is a reason why I make my own patterns lots of the time….I’m a bit defunct at reading patterns.)
haha, Sadie looks like a child of the 70’s in this picture! I think the fabric I used would be a lot cuter with some white leggings. Groovy. Fabric is from the Denyse Schmidt, Hope Valley line.
I made a size 2/3 and it fit the Sadester great-though I think I might lengthen it just a tad next time. Oh and there will be a next time, if I haven’t already made one by the time you read this post. Oh what’s this!?
Hey how would you like your own copy of the Ayashe blouse and skirt pattern?
Check out their awesome selection of patterns and let me know a few of your faves in a comment on this post and I’ll pick a winner Sunday night! Make sure to leave an email so I can get a hold of you if you win!
The winner is….sewVery!
