another easy necklace

So instead of curling up in the corner and Pinteresting snoozing the day away, I actually got something done yesterday! Granted, it was just this little necklace which wasn’t hard to make, but still. After the couple of sick, fever-filled days we’ve had, this was worth shouting from the rooftops.
Me: shouting at my neighbors from my roof,”Look, guys….I MADE A NECKLACE!”
Neighbors: “shut it crazy lady who is always taking pictures of her kids and her outfits!”
See why blogging is a MUCH better outlet for me?
In case you were wondering, I made this necklace almost exactly like this one, only I used one eye pin for each metal bead and attached them together, then to the chain. I’ll try and get a pic of me wearing it sometime…it’s just you probably would not have wanted to see my rocking the sickie look yesterday. Bags under the eyes and messy hair is so hot, I know…but still. (you can thank me later)

  1. Hahaha.
(Laughing about the neighbor thing. That is so how I feel about blogging. If I didn’t blog every poor soul who happened to stop by our house would be subjected to seeing everything I had made in the last 30 days. Hahaha.)

    Also, super cute necklace.

Hope you get to feeling better soon!

  2. Hey, glad you’re feeling a bit better. Can you share where you are scoring the beads? I went to JoAnns (with coupon of course) but I didn’t feel like they were a good deal. I need to figure out price points. Thanks.

  3. Very cute necklace. I often want to shout to my neighbors when I’ve finished a project too. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. I’m chuckling so hard about the neighbor comment – that’s me to a T! I had to start a blog about my adventures with rescue dogs because it was coming out of my ears. Now I’m working on putting up another for crafty adventures because I’m completely addicted, and I know my FB friends aren’t interested in daily fabric updates… ๐Ÿ˜‰

  5. this is beautiful. I totally will some times my outfit picture taking off until the neighbors go inside haha the room with the best light is right by their front yard. I hope you’ll add this to my What We Wore and Made party over at http://raegunwear.blogspot.com/search/label/WWWMW

  6. @ Tiffany-I got the beads from Michaels I believe, probably about a year ago.

  7. Ha ha ha the neighbor thing was hilarious! ๐Ÿ™‚ Also the necklace is SOOOO cute! Love it! Thanx for sharing!

  9. So, I’ve been stalking, um I mean, reading your blog for several months. I’m a wanna-be sewer (is that what you guys call yourself??) And I love your detailed tutorials…and whenever I get the courage, you’ll probably get a million questions from me! I do finally have a sewing machine now. I just have to use it! But, I mostly wanted to tell you that I love reading your blog because you make me chuckle! ๐Ÿ™‚
From one Jess to another!!! ๐Ÿ™‚
