no joke!

So wow! Did you hear the news?

I leapt out of bed at the crack of dawn to check was excited to see this morning that I had won One Month to Win It!

Thanks to all who voted for my projects, and for the talented ladies who competed! There were some amazing projects!

I had a blast competing in One Month to win It. It reallly pushed me creatively, and I’m kinda strangely proud that I only did one sewing project out of the four. Definitely odd for me. A good kind of odd!Β

Let’s take a trip down memory lane….ok it hasn’t been that long, but here are my projects I did!

Week One:

Trash to TreasureΒ

My Project: Play Canisters
Week Two:

Green week-something wearable and Green!

My Project: The Lucky Dress
Week Three:

Spring Cleaning-could only use materials from your house!

Week Four:

Power Hour-project must be completed within an hour!

My Project: Puzzle Blocks!
Did you guess the puzzle blocks were my project? I still couldn’t stay away from my beloved fabric on this project. You can imagine me surfing Etsy picking out the fabrics…”BIKES yah!…..whales!!! sweet!” Sadie helped me with a few, she really likes the owl side.Β

I’ll post a tute someday for these, though they are pretty self explanatory. πŸ˜‰ I got my fabrics on Etsy, like I said, and the zoo animal fabric (featured in the first pic), and rose fabric, I got from my sponsor Lily Bella Fabrics,Β  the cherries were from my sponsor Lark Cottons. The other three are Urban Zoology by Robert Kaufman (owls and whales), and Bicycles by Michael Miller.Β
It’s simply squares of fabric, cut to fit 2″ wooden blocks, and then mod podged on! I bought my blocks from this site.

I Sadie has so much fun playing with them. I She sometimes has a hard time fitting the blocks together…lol.
So anyways, thanks so much to the gals behind the curtain over on One Month to Win It! I can’t wait to see the next round of contestants and projects!
