drawstring bags

ย I’ve been meaning to make a bunch of drawstring bags for holding Sadie’s little toys together-and the other day during a nap time I finally buckled down and did it! Necessary sewing can be so boring, but I was proved wrong. These were quite therapeutic to make!

I used this tutorial-which worked great. I loved using up some larger scraps I had been gifted-that way I can look at the pretty fabrics around my house every day! Aren’t they so cheerful and bright? Just what I needed for the January doldrums.

And now Sadie’s toys (and various random things in my diaper bag) are nice and organized. Yay for that.ย

Thank you all for the wonderfully kind comments yesterday! I appreciated every single one, and they made my day a lot better than it could have been. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Great idea for toy organization, Jess. Especially things like little dolls with outfits and combs and shoes. Love it!

  2. I LOVE your fabric choices! I’m trying to think of what I could use one or a hundred of these for ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Their lovely. I understand what you mean about the”necessary sewing”. I will sew up five new outfits before I convince myself to replace a button or mend a skirt.

  7. ok, so these are way cuter than the plastic bags i’ve been using to stash the kiddo’s toys in the closet! thanks for the idea ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. I love the fabrics you used for the bags. They turned out so cute! I’ve made some of these for my daughters toys and they are amazing! They are also nice to keep in your purse with little toys and things.
