chairs

Found these chairs at our local Salvation Army 50% sale the other day. (please, ignore the craptastic plaid fabric-that will be changed-SOON!)
I almost freaked out from excitement when I saw them! We bought a round table there last week with 3 leaves for our dining room, so I’d been looking around online for chairs-and they can get soo expensive!! We got the table for $40 though, so I was (maybe) willing to spend a little more on chairs.
So anyways, I spotted these, saw the price tag, hailed my awesome Sal Army furniture guy (yes, he knows my name, haha I’m there a lot lately) and slapped some SOLD tags on these babies. Good thing too, cause I saw two other people asking about them later. They are in great shape too.
The price tag?
$5 each.
The funny thing is, I was just admiring Candace’s chairs she found and fixed up, and lamenting the fact that I can never find awesome stuff like that-and then these showed up!
Love it when the universe is on my side. 😀

  1. Awesome! That looks like the very same craptastic fabric that was on the loveseat my mom and I recovered earlier this year. I can’t wait to see what you do with the chairs; they have GREAT potential!

  2. niiiice! now I get to be jealous of your chairs. 🙂

  3. What a great find!

  4. Great find! I found a cuteish table and chairs by the dumpster at Famous Daves. I was excited to make them over! I asked my server (and then the manager) and found out they were for their employees’ smoke break. Lame.

  5. Nice find! I’m excited to see how they turn out!

  6. okay this is too funny! i feel like i just read my own words. except you are luckier than me!

we JUST bought, last weekend, a round table with two leaves. it’s our first real kitchen table ever but it didn’t come with chairs. it is vintage and GORGEOUS though! so i’m on the hunt for some chairs. and i went to SALVATION ARMY!! yesterday to find some. only i didn’t find anything. 🙁 i’m still hunting. but you give me hope that there are some cheap, cute chairs out there! i’m planning on painting mismatched chairs white. can’t wait to see how yours turn out!

  7. Great chairs! When we moved out we got some similar chairs and a dining table from some friends of ours. They were not looking too good because they had been using them on their back verandah so they had faded heaps. We sanded, stained and recovered them and now they look amazing!

  8. Great find! Can’t wait to see what you do with them. Are you going to paint them, too?

  9. I cannot wait to see how they look when you are finished with them 😉

  10. Oh! I can’t wait to see how you transform these chairs. I know that whatever you decide to do will look fabulous!
