new and improved Cinderella dress+Tinkerbell

awww…my little princess! She totally flipped out when I pulled this out after her nap the other day to show her! She cried OHHH! and then of course proceeded to rip her clothes off and wore it the rest of the day, showing it off to Rory and my sister. I just loove reactions like that! Makes me want to sew dress up all day long! hehe.

You probably recognize the dress right? I used this tutorial-great one by the way! I er, messed up a little on the bodice and made it too long, so it’s pinned up a little, hence the weird bunchiness. (wha? that’s a word)

It’s fixed now, but also a little dirty and I don’t feel like forcing doing another photo shoot with Sadie-so just imagine it looking normal. haha.

And now, total Princess pose! hehe.
Also, I made this quick and easy Tinkerbell dress from the same site.  I made mine a little differently-it’s not two pieces like the tutorial, I just gathered and sewed the skirt to the bodice piece, and didn’t make the bodice a leotard. She loves it and spends most of her days changing between these two dresses.

Ah, the life of a toddler, where the only thing to worry about is what dress to wear.

  1. Awww, I love them! I really need to make Kadie some. Man, the list just keeps getting longer. (sigh) 😀

  2. I LOVE it when you bring something out and get just the reaction you were hoping for. Thanks for the links. I’ve got to concoct a witches skirt at some point this week….

  3. They both turned out very cute!

  4. If it only ended with the toddler years…ah, who am I kidding? I love dress up! I hope it lasts forever!

  5. I love them(!) and love how happy Sadie is! That extra fabric may work to your advantage if she gets too tall, you might be able to let it out and she can wear it longer (unless Charlotte really wants it by then)

  6. So adorable! I love the different textures. Sadie looks thrilled!

  7. Soooo cute! I will now hide this from my 2 daughters, before they insist on having one each!

  8. it does feel great when your kiddo appreciates your work! mine says…you made that for ME?!…and then OH BOY! just love it!

    great job on the dresses!

  9. So cute! I should have waited to make Princess dresses…now I want to make them again.

  10. oh my gosh. she looks so adoreable in that dress!!! love it!!!

  11. I am just so confused, where do you get the time? I have two little ones the same ages and I haven’t been able to touch my sewing machine for weeks!
    You really are talented.

  12. She looks absolutely adorable! Thanks so much for linking up!
